Ridiculous "All-Rounders"

Has anybody else noticed how some of the world's best players are uncharacteristically good at almost everything in terms of footballing ability ?

I find it occuring far too often that the likes of Messi, Ronaldo et al are losing the ball and then chasing back and easily shrugging a 6ft defender off the ball.

In another example all but 5 minutes ago i'm West Ham against Barca online and i've got Lucas Neill bursting into their box only for Ronaldinho to run alongside him and brush him off the ball with complete ease like some sort of experienced defender.

It just wouldn't happen!!!

Needs to be sorted for the PES 2009!

Errr actually no as i tend to avoid being the big clubs seeing as there's a distinct lack of a challenge.

Don't really think ML has much to do with anything in this thread, in his ML he may just choose to buy average players for realism.

On the other hand, I think he might be referring to all the jock-straps online who continuously choose the very best teams in the game. Hence the reason it is unfair, boring and not a challenge. Random team every time I always say.

I don't understand how people don't bore themselves going on about "picking bad teams for realism" or moaning about people always picking good sides online. Get over it already, it's never going to change.

Problem is mate, a lot of people use just the top sides. Last night I played 4-5 games, all against people playing as ManU. Even as a red myself, i get sick of seeing Ronaldo sprint past my defenders with such ease. To make it worse, when i do win the ball, he's back against my player muscling them off the ball before they have had time to remeber their own names.

Just so you know, I played 3 as Spurs (they really are shite!) & two as blackburn.

Edit: Hitman, I see what you're saying mate, but where's the sense of adventure? Playing well & losing a close game with Shaktar is more fun than wiping the floor with someone with one player. Or at least for me it is.

Please re-read my post. I am not saying it's a good thing - but there is nothing we can do about it unless we just play our friends who we know will select different teams.

Fair comment. See my edit... It is down to the individual. Ranked matches are by far the biggest problem. Point incentives seem to bring out the worst in people.

Dude, don't lose faith in the online mode. Yeah it has it's share os assholes as do all online games, but in the friendly match area it is possible to have good games with similar (read neutral) teams, against players whe don't disconnect early if things don't go well.

Spot on although i don't do random teams all the time as it's up to the other player who they are i just hope they expect hefty amounts of 'hahahahaha' and 'it went well' etc etc when i score with a distinctly lesser side such as Stade Rennais.

I think these people are actually that sad that they put getting a higher rank/division is more important than having fun.

Couldn't agree more, scoring a goal is much more enjoyable when you're Espanyol against Manure than it would be if you were Barca or a side anywhere near the level of Manure.

And I think you lot are all missing the point. I would bet good money on there being at least 1000 posts within this section all moaning about people picking good teams online all the time. There is no point in it as it's never going to change unless you yourself choose more carefully who you play.
