RIP: Master League

I love this game so much, so it is with regret that realise this major fault which makes master league unplayable for me.

The problem is that this game certainly alter reality in a way that leaves you feeling cheated... This is what I experienced.

In my third season, after being close to promotion a couple of times, I really had put an excellent team together, and I totally dominated the regular season... Lost only twice and won the rest (and good for me, I should add, as this was the only way to meet the salery demand from my players).
So I'm in the d2 cup finale, and this is where things start to get wierd... Despite total dominance, I end up loosing 3-1. My stellar keeper suddenly had a really, I mean really bad day, despite having an orange arrow ;-(
So I'm in the d2 playoff, and I start off against the other d2 team Auxerre, whom I beat comfortably 3-0. I'm happy, and thinking that with this team it is just a matter of time before i'm in d1.
Next game is PSV eindhoven. The first 10 min are hectic, and they loose 2 players to red cards... I keep my nerve and play as I've been playing all year to create great, great chances. I mean I have like 10 one on ones with the keeper, and misses all of them. Even clear headers go right past to post, even though thats highly impropable. And in the dying seconds they get a goal, a weak weak shot from the edge of the penalty area, their only chance.
The last game, against feyenoord is a replica of the last, except for the red cards.

And this leaves me with the feeling that this game is not worth playing, when a cheat rutine so clearly sets in whenever really important games are up. You can almost feel when it sets in, suddenly an opponent starts to dribble, and spectacularily avoids all tackles. Then you know you're going to loose a goal ;-(

This game, as an one player experience, is over for me. Sad but true. But it lasted a good 3 months, and that's allright i guess.

lol. maybe inter or wolves feel there is a 'cheat routine' when henry picks up the ball, dribbles past their defences and scores! that is real football, moments like that occur everytime. And it is not unusual for a team to totally dominate a game in terms of chances and still fail to lose. just look at the liverpool-arsenal game at anfield. that my friend is real football. The fact that you'v quit shows obviously that you cant handle it and maybe shouldnt have been playing pes3 in the first place.

i know what u mean. i have started two threads on this kind of thing. U know that from the first 5 mins that u wont score or win. i am pissed off. I like to think i am very good at this game and beat alot of good people on two player. But the com definately cheats.

In one game no matter what i did it would not let me score. Every ball i recieved was always taken straight off me it was bull shit. They had one shot and scored.

I would put a ball into the box and it would hit the coms player and give handball and a freekick, TO THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW!!!!!

Or sometimes i would control, the ball or head the ball perfect and it gives handball but never does it to the Com. ITS BULLSHIT AND ITS PISSING ME OFF NOW. 2 player all the way.

I just beat the COM in the WEFA Championships Final. I scored in the last minute, after going down to 10 men.

Does the COM cheat?

Does it bollocks.

Just accept the fact that sometimes you'll have a bad day. It happens to everyone.

Jomoni, that sounds really unlucky but don't give up. I played 17 consecutive seasons in Div2 on 5* without even reaching the playoffs before going bankrupt. Then on re-starting I eventually got promoted on my third attempt at the playoffs - needed a point in the final game against West Ham, 0-0 in the final minutes, ball crossed in for Di Canio to score. I held my head in my hands for a while before glancing up at the screen to realise it had been ruled out for offside and my team was promoted!

When you do get promoted you'll probably find Div 1 quite easy, I don't think there's much difference in standard from Div 2 apart from the 3-4 top teams
