Every game no matter what I chose Newcastle, they aint the best team on the game but I love playing with the team I support and I want a good game of football!!!!

Sooo is it just me that is getting sick to death with playing against either Real, Barcelona, Inter or Chelsea????? I play game after game against players called "Tottenhamrooolz" etc who do not pick their favourite team but pick barcabloodylona then run the length of the pitch with Ronaldinho and score from a stupid angle or 17miles from goal!!!!!

And if thats not bad enough why the hell do you get people who only score by----> through ball to wing---->run inside---->pass to striker whos stood unmarked in the box who slots it home!!!??? Yes its a guaranteed goal but why do do it 8/9 times in 1 match and think your good cos you score???

Am I the only one that plays this game to have a decent game of football and not to play game after game with the best teams scoring the "generic" goals?? Or am I a dieing breed??

Yeah im ranting now cos I had 5 great games in a row against some sound opposition, then I play 4 in a row against people who do the above time and time again!!!

I'm the same as you. I like variety in my play, and I try to avoid these guaranteed moves/goals, because it just becomes boring otherwise.

You are 100% right. I have stopped playing on the network now cause ppl are always the best team. Most of the time i am tottenham. If im in the zone, then i can defend the 'dirt goal' (generic goal) everytime, but one slip and its all over. So boring. I think that in the match room (i just thought of this) if you are the room creator you should have the ability to choose how many stars you can use (like the tornament) so if you wanna use average teams you set it to 3 stars then all the 4 or 5 star teams are unavauilable. Then u could have a tottenham newcastle or whatever. Say u picked newcastle, whoever you play would be as good or only a tiny bit better. Newcastle vs brazil would no longer be availabel. Just a thought.

I always pick liverpool unless in 2 player game and i will let the other person choose. but as you said the opposition is inevitable and the type of goal is 95% the same, but what annoys me the most about this is when the do manage to get a 2 goal lead they continue trying the same old shit until the end of the game.

Well in this game there are the "elite" club teams to play as:
Inter, AC, Barca, Chelsea, Real

we all know they have great defence, midfield and strikers and any tom dick or harry can play as them and score!!! Its people just being lazy, dont wanna try at a game so give up and go for the easy options!!

Newcastle on the other hand have a very very poor defence-the keeper saves me so many times! And their only real plus point is a lot of speed and a solid midfield!! Its taken me a lot of work over many PES games to get a good formation and a feel of how they play!! I can defend okish-biggest loss was 6-3 cos of the pass in the box type goal grr! Ive got 3 formations set up-using L2 X O etc! and I can cope with most things that are thrown at me except for numpties who do the same thing 10 times in 1 game using players who have nearly full red stats!!!!

Also Man utd has the biggest fan base of every club in the world....how come Ive only played against them 3 times in all my 50odd games?? But have played the "elites" more times than I can count!!!


Maybe we could set up some sorta "Not playing as AC Barca etc" type tourney?

I use to go Rangers in PES5 and thrashed people like 5-1. Including players that went Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man Utd and Arsenal.

Such a great feeling.

Only went Rangers a couple of times in PES6 since I am not completely use to the game. Once I gain experience, then I would probably play online with Rangers.

its a pain in the arse the teams ppl choose i hate playing against chelsea cos theyre fast as. i try to go celtic as often as i can but its no fun playing against chelsea and getting ripped apart so i must admit i go inter often. id be well up for a tournament with teams like newcastle and celtic. maybe they should make a room where games dont count towards ur stats to ppl can go who they like and not care about losing.

I 100% agree with MikeFlame, I get totally cheesed off playing against Real, Barca and all of the other "Elite" clubs and BRAZIL. It is boring. Especially when the player is clearly a Spurs fan for example (I don't mean to get on the backs of you Spurs boys )
It is very rare that I get to play an EPL team other than Chelsea online. I often create rooms online, for example I would create a room called:
1v1 English Teams Only - No Noobs!! and people wait for me to select Newcastle and then quickly choose Barca!
I can hold my own against Barca etc... usually ending up in a draw. But why people can not choose the teams they support?? Spurs, Liverpool Villa are not bad teams, you can do well but these noobs love the Elite teams. Thank god the Toon are a better proposition this year, I never thought I would say it but Albert Luque rocks!!
At around 60-70 minutes of play if I am winning comfortably I like to punish noobish behaviour by breaking Ronaldinho's leg with Steven Carr - Crunch!!! The funny thing is most of the time I don't even get a yellow card even A noob without Ronaldinho is like a car without an engine - They really can't play without him.

If someone keeps attacking the same way, then yes it is easy to defend. I find i get bored easily by them and then slip-up and conceed. If they try it during the 'lag half' then poor cutback play combined with lag normally equals a goal. And if there brazil - then u have 3 reasons to stop playing. Recently i have played against cutback cheats - gone 2 goals behind, got really annoyed and won 3-2. I just wish ppl played for fun. Watching that football is boring. I like defending agaist it cause its easy, but boring to watch still!
