Send player to run

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how you can send a no controlled player to run,
its hard to explain because my english sucks, but is the option like the fifa series that you press "Q" and the player you are pointing runs trying to find an open gap forward to receive your pass, it looks that here is controlled by the ai or is there a way to do it?.

i doubt thats possible mate.. the only "no controlled" player you can control to move and run is the goalkeeper himself..

You cant make another player run while you have the ball which is one of the features that i like about FIFA but if you press R2 after you pass the ball the player you were controlling will sprint forward. Thats is the closest you can get to making someone you dont control run forward. Some players have skills like scoring which makes 'em dash toward the goal when the a.i thinks the time is right.

u can't and it's a good thing.

In PES, you run with the ball while observing the movements of ur teammates, once ur striker starts running towards the goal, you time ur pass so as to avoid the offside trap, and ur striker's 1-on-1 on goal...

in Fifa... don't look for anything, just send ur players to run, and send in a thru pass...

In real-life soccer, A players doesn't SCREAM out for another player to run, he just looks at his teammates movements and send well-timed passes. Of course the player's attributes will define how efficient his on-pitch movement is...

So ultimately, the lack of this option only adds to the realism of the game...

well thats a good point, and i feel that in PES u have more playing options thats why i'm still trying to decide wich one i will buy this year(playing both demos) , never played PES series before but i think i wasted my time palying fifa all this years.

You gotta play as a team in PES... EA are trying to turn Midfielders into Quarterbacks.

You can't most of the time they will run forward intelligently, but i agree it would be a nice idea, but some people like myself abused it on FIFA, and u just spam the button so everyone charges forward so u can pass it easily around the opposition and score.
