Severely Diasppointed to say the least

I may be a bit harsh and rash in starting this thread but all my great expectations of this years release have died and Gamescon was the final nail in the coffin.

It seems as if Konami have yet again pulled the wool over our eyes. I been around all the forums, this one, pesfan and evo web and it also seems that those who know more than others are very quiet also.

Is the whole tactical sliders just another gimmick for this year to throw us of what is really going on behind the scenes? Are we getting a revamped 2009 game without 360 degree controlling and once again a dodgy online experience?

Why has all the news stopped on all the sites? Why are there no new video's being released that will actually show us something that we can all be really pleased and happy about?

I really hoped to switch over from Fifa this year but unfortunately it doesnt look that way. I find Fifa very boring after a while, especially Manager Mode, but, at least I will be buying an unbroken and finished game with a steady online system.

C'mon Konami who do you think you are kidding?

I largely agree, I didnt even bother with Pes 2009 until last month, Having felt it was a poor return on 2008. Fifa 09 was a solid game, and consistant all over. I too prayed for a full revamp of pro this year, and so far I think the graphics are fantastic, however gameplay issues are apparent in most videos Ive seen from gamescon. But Im hoping there will be enough improvement overall to merit purchasing this game come October.
I too hope Konami prove me wrong.

I know where you coming from but i remember seeing pes 6 just befor it got released. They were using Italy v England or somin and the gameplay looked crap. Why? Because the basic teams the game ships with are shit. Pes is only decent when you have a team of legends or equally good current players with stats in the high 90s. Also the people playing it are almost as shit as the teams they use atm so dont be afraid the game looks crap. I mean just watching them play it annoys me. They pass it around the back, play 1 pass up and loose it or they try to run the entire length of the pitch with Aurelio ffs! and there are people shooting when they are facing the complete opposite direction!! and people trying to sprint into the box with yaya toure!. They are making the game look shit.

the only way to know if this game is dissapointing is to play the demo..but i have a feeling pes 10 will be good game than pes 08,09..i think online will be good for pes 2010 too because konami didn't use their servers anymore..pes 2010 online will use sony and microsoft servers..

BAL is great I wouldn't of changed in tbh.

Only maybe afew things eg:
More positions, not just get picked to the first team for scoring goals, if you are a defensive midfielder it is unlikely you are going to score goals, so you should be judged on your tackles, interceptions, and overall protection you give the back four. As I would like to be a solid player, not really noticed but does his job.

I think it would be great if you could be a goalkeeper, with completely different controls, like a dive to your left button (preferably X) and a dive right button (preferably B), and a pass button and long pass button. I dont see why this cannot be implimented if there is manual goalkeeper in PES 2010.

I think it would be great to be a defender (being one myself), I want to play as one. A rock solid defender, good headerer, good tackler, reads the game well.

You have to play the game yourself to make a judgement on it. PES2010 is out 23rd October 2009. Wait until then and then you can tell us what you think of the game!

I think before we get into this again like the last 40 threads on this... i think if this version is bad then konami will lose business and peopel will shift to fifa... and it will keep happening until konami cop on and fix it... think we should all just wait and see what happens wit this, no one is tellin anyone to buy the game, i know people prefer pes to fifa and wont bother wit fifa , thats cool but dont go on comparing fifa to pes and so on... konami know theyll lose millions of they dont invest millions...

Dont give up on pes fully till you play the demo at least. I just finished listening to the latest wenb podcast with suff and riot, riot really seems to know his stuff. They give the impression that hardcore pes fans will like this game.

However they were pretty blunt about it's shortcomings compared to the rival game, seriously, they actually give that game a flat out endorsement and basically sang its praises throughout the podcast,however pes isnt 100% complete.

Last year was taken back by pes09 animations too, but once I got going with the game I couldn't stop playing. It's just a shame Konami decides to only do one or two tweaks in the BAL mode, I need to see real currency in this years' version.

You seem to see this a lot ppl calling something garbage withouth even playing it. Notice no one is saying this is the greatest football game ever becasue no one has played the final build. Yet somehow its accetpble to call something shit without even playing it based on screens and grainy videos. So much for critiquing something. On another note PES 2015 will be horrible just because

Yes I am, I don't know why they changed it the Metrostars was cool to me although to be fair we finally made it the final last year, I guess the changed name bring some us some luck. I think these guys need to learn from the ladies Skye Blue because they went the way in inaugural WPS league this year.
