it's called false hope.

everyone was excited abotu gamescom. That proved to be a disappointment. Now everyone is hoping the demo will be good. Well, I'm not too confident.

I wasn't disappointed at all.
I admit that the animations especially the running animations should have been better (but that will be answered in the final build), but as for other aspects, the game looks already better than pes 09 and is looking to be the best pes so far.
Oh and most important, almost everyone said that the pes feeling was back. :)

I don't think it's a case of slating a game not yet played but rather it's a case of the initial impressions haven't quite met expectations.

For instance I cannot see from any of the gameplay videos too much in the way of revolution over past incarnations of the series. As it stands there very little in my view that will make me buy the game; for now I would just wish to play the demo and hope that really pulls out all the stops in terms of impressing me.

I expected different nets, stadiums, gameplay animations - simple things to bring this into the 'next (current)-generation' of gaming. Maybe I have an agenda nowadays but I really feel there is a lazy approach from Konami masked over with things like tactical sliders, Teamvision etc. which is all the more frustrating with all the talk they give about 'this year's overhaul'.

Tepid response so far however as has been said no concrete conclusions necessary until the release of the demo and maybe then the game.

If the game is better than pes 09 and if finally this game can beat pes 5 then I will be happy.
Let's face it. Pes 5 was an advanced game for a 2005 game, and in some ways it's better than fifa 09 (not every way though).

I really hoped to switch over from Fifa this year but unfortunately it doesnt look that way.

C'mon Konami who do you think you are kidding?

why would you hope to switch back?you simply play whatever you think is more enjoyable, if thats going to be fifa then fine. theres no need to hope PES will do it for you, it either will or wont.
