i don't post much, here, or any other forum. i read PESGaming, WinnineElevnBlog, EA Fifa forums, etc. i just wanted to get some of this off my chest...
i'm having a really tough time deciding whether to get fifa or pes this year. i want to like pes more, hence why i'm posting here and not a fifa forum probably....but here's the thing:
PES:
- nets need to be fixed. not shape wise, but damn, i can't see them. brighten them up! give them more thickness! in fact, in one stadium, the nets look almost invisible!
- stop with all the whistle blowing! i don't like hearing it after i score a goal...it almost removes the excitement from scoring the goal...hard to explain.
- stop with all the damn replays! seems there is a reply for EVERYTHING and i have to hit the start button 3 times just to get them over and done with. what a chore.
- the keepers suck. i don't think i really need to go in detail, but i am not the greates of players when it comes to video games, but i score so easily all the time. i just tap the shoot button and it goes in!
-W....T....F....is up with the menu music? omg, i almost don't want the game off principle because of this. some really crappy euro/jap/rap/rock/screaming junk.....FFS.... yeah, i know i can delete songs and plug my own stuff in there, but seriously, who allowed these default tracks into the game? immediately fire that person.
FIFA:
- the new commentator is annoying as hell.
- new defensive system is taking quite a bit to get used to, but seems to try and eliminate the online, human/human pressure problems.
- the game plays so damn Sloooooooow...i forget i'm playing soccer/football at times because it feels like my guys are on ice playing a hockey match
- ahhh, nothing like watching the same goals over and over and over....ie, 45-degree finess shot or tripple-tap-ground-cross-tap-in...over and over and ....ugh
- goalies are great! they stop a ton of shots....as long as it's not one of the above i've just listed
- graphics are super easy on the eyes and lovely to watch. they are bright, crisp, smooth....but a tad cartoonish looking compared to the gritty, dull look of pes. (think of it like this: FIFA = BATMAN and BATMAN RETURNS; PES = Batman Beings and Dark Knight....comicbook look with lots of color vs real world look with a gritty tone)
- did i mention the new commentator is utter F-ing S**t? g...damn!
- past experience has shown me, in actual play testing, that FIFA has better online servers. yes, both suck ass, but FIFA is better out of the two
Man, I really want to go the PES route this year as my full time footie game, but i'm just not sure. I'm not really pleased with either at the moment. What do you guys/gals think? If you had to go with only one which would it be? yep, i'm in a PES forum, so i know most will say PES, but there isn't a "Generic Football" forum out there, so I had to go either here or FIFA.....and I have a little more love for PES, hence why I posted here.
