Right guys,

Just got off the phone to both Microsoft and Konami and asked about whats going on to stop all the probs with the game online. MS said they have no official info on the patch yet and told me to phone Konami. Which I've just done. Now the lady on the phone says they are currently working on the patch to stop the lag and crashes n it should be out within a couple of weeks, stuff we already know.

The interesting part is I asked them whether they where going to scrap the current rubbish ranking system employ a decent one (like fifas, rainbow 6 etc ;)) where we get rewarded for our actual skill, and not by how many games we play. Quality not quantity I say, it gives us something to work toward doesnt it, considering the hours we spend on the game, I personally want my skill (if any ;)) represented fairly. Now the lady said she didn’t know anything about a ranking system change but will get someone to phone me back for a chat. I’m hoping they phone soon, we know they're trying to sort the lag and crashes, (thats our main issue). But Ill try to stress how we would prefer other areas of the online aspect of the game to be simply tweaked, as some parts are nothing but lazy. Esp the ranking table set up, and slack transfer updates etc. Stuff that can be sorted through a normal Xbox live update.

Right, I'm now asking for anyone else bothered by this laziness (like me) to give em a quick ring (is not premium rate or anything like that) and ask them about employing a decent ranking system in the patch they are currently working on, and express any other gripes u may have with the konami laziness. Basically I’m hoping that the more people who bother to enquire/complain about it, the more chance they have of fixing it. Cos lets be serious they aint gonna spend the time to change something, unless they know people are bothered by it. Most of us know that If you don’t ask you don’t get.

Anyways, I have faith we can make a difference, fingers crossed guys.

The Konami Tel No can be found here (no point in phoning MS as they don’t work on the patch contents they just release it):

I might go and have a little protest outside their office at lunchtime ;)

I'm not that bothered by the rankings. But I would like to see punishment to quitters (points deduction and a stat count of matches quit).

Exactly Zyg, Im trying to get the word out in all the fan forums that people need to actually make the effort to complain.

Quoting myself ;)

"The aim of this thread is simply to document and get people to actually help change something. Im now pretty fed up with discussing all the probs, unless we actually tell them they'll probably do nothing. We all should realise that. They certainly wont want to keep releasing updates for finacial reasons and Im sure that with the ammount of developers a company this size has got, that they can sort out silly little issues such as a more sopisticated ranking table fairly quickly, I mean its a bit extra math and database development. I mean this game is now officially a record breaker and theres nearly 20000 live players on pes4 and its only been out a couple of weeks, just how many of these are more that dissapointed with some of the online features, thousands.

Phone em up and tell em, its all we can do."

Bit disappointed about the amount of responses here, seems people arent bothered enough to make the effort to try and get some of our annoyences sorted and make the following year of pes4 online as enjoyable as possible. If you want to try and help to see a change please help out guys. The Konami reps are very friendly and honestly sound like they value our opinions. ;)

In fact a guy on another forum made the effort to call and got a 'thanks for you opinion. we'll try' response, which is promising. We now seriously need to let them know many of us have the same opinion over certain online aspects of the game, get the call/emails in.

Thing is though, and i'm not saying I dont want to try, i'll bell them tomorrow if it will add to our frustration of having a poor online game. But I dont see why year after year we have to do the chasing around. The game really should have been beta tested properly. They have been in this business long enough, and its incredibly poor if the game is lacking optimisations for the LIVE service. I mean we8 had chronic slow downs, pes3 had stutters, and now pes4 xbox has lag issues. All these things sparks of poor testing, I mean it's like releasing a beta test build of a game.

But I take what you are saying though, and will contact them, as I feel we do need to put the pressue on, but its not for the first time.

yeah i agree totally, we shouldnt have to complain to try and get them to fix something, or indeed try and get them to introduce/change something thats bugging us. The lack or laziness of testing and bad online features was probably down to them racing to get the title ready for the chrimbo market. Though Im sure you'll agree if a quick phone call from all us disappointed fans results in them realising theres a want or need for something and thus they change it in the currecnt patch their working on then we'll be lot happier gamers over the next year, until PES5.

personally i dont want them to change the ranking system in the patch, I just want the lag/quitters issues sorted. Once they have done that and given us a decent game to play, Then they can start changing that, i dont wanna wait for 2 months for lag fix while they are tweaking rankings system :p

I think it's well too late to send a mail to Konami now. They are already working hard to finish a pretty big patch, covering most issues we've complained about. That's what I read in a topic at evo-web. Javuvu did read that too, so he knows what I am talking about.
The patch goes (in the latest scenario) at 15 -12 from Konami to Microsoft to let them test it at LIVE. Hopefully they can test it in two days, because after 17-12 Microsoft is closed until new year because of Christmas-holliday. So it will be out at either 17-12 or If they fail to test it in time, the patch will be there in the first week of januari.
Maybe a bit later than we hoped for, but if the patch covers all problems it's worth the waiting.

Does anyone know if the patch will include a fix for the reseting of the cursor change, I always use manual and when you go online it turns to semi auto - the default!!!.. this is damn anonoying!..(and a result Ive lost many a match! ;)

they wont want to keep releasing patches this costs money, esp when there working on one now. And it very much doubt it delay the patch by ages simply to tweak a few things, i.e. the ranking table is just extra maths and database management. I wish people would stop speculating and hoping for certain things, we know what we want changed so please let Konami know that theres a lot a people bothered by how pants the online mode it, otherwise we all know it wont happen. And its not too late for them to add things in now Han why would it, it will probably be being worked on for a few weeks yet. I dont know where your getting your dates and info from, but after speaking to Konami yesterday I was told MS know nothing about the patch yet and was told it would 'hopefully' be out in about 2 weeks, hopefully isnt certain is it, and we all know what Konami are like when it comes to deadlines, I wouldnt be suprised if the patch isnt out until next year. So if you any gripes guys, please get on the phone to konami, come on it only takes 2 minutes. Its the only way to try and get Konami to put something in the patch we want, they need to know theres a big demand for something.

ok so theres a few people over the various forums who have bothered to phone in, this is good news. Though the more the better. As this is a very popular pes forum it would be great to see more people taking 2 mins to quickly ring up and ask for the features we're all talking about. We can make it happen guys.

I am surprised! I got it from evo-web in a topic where you placed it yourself!

That was from a post that someone made and wouldnt be believe the time frames exactly mate, they change all the time, we all know that. So I wouldnt put that the patch is out on the 15th microsoft get it on the blah blah blah, becuase it isnt set in stone. Id prefer to actually listen to Konami themselves. I again spoke to them today and was told that the jap konami crew are working on the patch and it should be out within 2-3 weeks. Though Id think it would probably take longer, considering their track record. ;)

If Microsoft test the patch of Konami, that means it will come out the first week of januari, because two, three weeks is in the middle of the holliday of Microsoft...

Good to see they are taking their time with this patch, instead of just rushing it out without doing a proper fix for the mentioned issues....

we dont know if their doing a proper fix, they could be just fixing the lag for all we know. This isnt good enough, which is why we need to pressure them into action.
