I think theres a bug in the wall when the opponent is taking free kicks.
I played online and when i passed it short with van der sar from an offside. Ronaldo appeared out of nowhere and slotted the ball in the back of the net. Then the next time this happend again. So my advice is too just chip it in those situations until they fix that bug so you don't end up giving some cheat an advantage
