so I've been playing online 1 v 1 for a few weeks as well as keeping up with my mlo and Ive found out some good and bad things about this excuse of a game.
First off am I the only person who thinks other people chasing down goal kicks and throw in are massive c**ts?? I dont even pass it out I boot it up pitch all the time but see their s**thead striker chase me down makes me want to track them down just to punch them in the face, like if you have talent you will win the ball in the middle of the pitch.
Also throw in are a horror show if the guy you are taking on is a p**ck. If you dont throw it in instantly they chase down both your guys and stand in front of them so they win the ball and even if they dont close in and just stay back the computer drags them into your players back and then they push you guy out the way and steal it even if you try to pass it.
speaking of pressure why the heck when you get closed down on the pitch do they almost always win the ball and if they dont win it then they lock your player in a spot and all my player can do it contain the ball in a circle and pass it or lose it but not continue the run.....why would I want my player to stop mid dribble and be able to spin around my opponent.
Also the pressure settings on this game are a pile of w**k. set it to 20 and they dont pressure any more than 1 but I suppose all the settings are the same 1 or 20 it doesn't matter they dont work.
goalie get rounded so f****ng easy its not even right and this is from both an attacking and defending point of view.
shooting ----Ive mentioned it before about that stupid sliding shot but I cant leave it....what the hell is with that, before they used to have sliding shots or stumbling shots but at least they had the power you put behind it now if they do it then there is no power which is realistic because no one can get power behind a sliding tackle but what isnt realistic is the fact it happens almost once a game.
defending ----why is it that even the best defenders can not defend a ball thats been pass over the top......you fill the bar up to pass in any direction and they just turn as the ball falls, try a pass but end up falling over and the oppos striker is through.
headers -----what is the point of adding direction to a header in the middle of the park if the computer decides the complete opposite direction is the way it wants to put it.
WTF is with the chasing down ball even if I click on the player to pull him away as I can see he isnt goin to win the challenge, its even worse on mlo where you see the striker not stay in the middle and get automatically dragged out of place completely disrupting play.
barca fanboys and online scripting ---- seriously most people just become barca or madrid in competitions.....do you know how hard it is to stop scripted games even if your as good as me...I mean I can take most of them down but the continuous stream of these fu***rs annoys me with the continual rape of messi down my wings forcing my wingers to help out.
And online scripting, why cant it just allow both players to play well and for one to use talent to win the game....now it just seems that I concede or score when the computer feels it will work for the oppo or me respectively.
long range shots/ good goals.....you could actually score good goals in the last few years but now it seems even the long rangers dont happen, like how the hell can stevie g not find room once in ten games to bang a shot in the net or any player for that matter? even the 'well worked' shots mess up somewhere unless your spain or barca because no one can stop them....stupid spanish fanboys konami are.....good luck licking their ass and keeping fans at the same time when their s**t in 10 years you insolent f**ks.

this is in general for the past 2-3 years.....I used to say that fifa was average and consistent on a 6 or 7 for all its matches while pro ranged from a 2 to a 10 depending on the match but pro was always more enjoyable and the goals would be great to score but now thats all gone only the 2s remain no 10s.....Ive had a handful of matches where I could say it worked for me all game and was a 10 unless I was the spanish fu****g armarda in the past two editions and they were all in last years game. there just isnt the joy of gaming, the joy of the goals or the joy of pro evo left in the series....konami should just give it away to someone like 2k sports who know how to make a game.
that being said I still feel its better than this years fifa only by the slightest margin because of the club boss mode was a good idea and manager modes had 1 or 2 decent improvements in parts and the novice cup in mlo is a smart idea but that was levelled by the gameplay which is about as fluid as fifas now.
Im doin a lebron/hazard here and saying that Im leaving next year, Ive had a good run with pro from pro 6 (2007) to pro 2012 but I need to leave in the hope that the more that leave the more konami will see this has turned into a joke that I am tired of defending to the fifa fanboys that are all of my friends, literally none play fifa.
But it doesnt matter how bad fifa is unless pro is a stark improvement to this I doubt Ill even look at it, I will download the demos but Im gonna wait to play fifa round my mates and if its good then Im gonna buy it because both of this years demos were polar opposites fifas was slow but the game is a lot quicker and pro evos demo was quick but the game is slow.
Ill probably do a FUT with the name of proevoconvert or something like that so if you know anyone that plays fifa on the ps3 then you might spot a guy who used to be a complete fifa man becaome a full on pro evo guy but is now back to fifa.
I know I will sound like the family of a drug addict but still, I love this series thats why Im leaving it because I just dont want to see it destroy itself infront of me, its meant to much to the gamer inside me and only konami can help itself we the gamers seem to have done as much as possible but they just wont accept our help in the form of the feedback...
I might come back on these forums next year to see what you guys are saying about pes 2013, to see if I would have made a mistake but I cant help feel there will only be like 3 people on the forum cos every1 else is leaving or has already left....
