Hi,
I'm a loyal pesfan and enjoy browsing the forums and helping out.. Over my first few weeks as a registered user i've noticed the forum gets alot of new threads and posts sometimes.. double posting and triple posting without the newbie actually having a valid point or its completely off topic to pes and the forum/site area.
This is quite frustrating because i think the majority of the people that are on the forum either
a) want to share with other forum members about their pes experiences.
b) need help and advice on something football or pes related
c) need help technically with their profile or cpu/console
Now don't get me wrong.. I like newbies and i'd encourage them to post but only if its a worthwhile point or start to a meaningfull conversation or debate. Examples such as a newbie starting a thread about PES5 and his views on the game.. when at the top of the forum in bold and red letters it quite clearly states that thread is there for this purpose.. and even worse.. when you get some moron creating an account and sending jibberish about something pointless :realmad: .. this waste's the admins time they then have to close it down and sometimes ban the newbie before he gets chance to cause more disruption. I don't know if this effects the running of the website or the forums.. you'd have to check on that.
So I was thinking that as from a certain date (admin/the boss could set this) maybe all new users should have a introduction week or fortnight.. in this they aren't aloud to create new threads at all.. they can post but only a certain amount of times per day.. they're contribution would be minimal in the first fortnight.. but when considered.. a person thats looking just to get on the forum and mess up the sections filtering it with pointless threads won't want to wait a fortnight to be verified only someone that wants to be a valuable member of the community would keep coming back and want to pass the initiation fortnight.
It would benefit the current members list and could restrict the flow of new members but we could see an uptake in the quality of threads?
Don't get me wrong though.. I am all for laughter and humour in conversation but only where relevent.
