Hi,
I'm a loyal pesfan and enjoy browsing the forums and helping out.. Over my first few weeks as a registered user i've noticed the forum gets alot of new threads and posts sometimes.. double posting and triple posting without the newbie actually having a valid point or its completely off topic to pes and the forum/site area. :(

This is quite frustrating because i think the majority of the people that are on the forum either

a) want to share with other forum members about their pes experiences.
b) need help and advice on something football or pes related
c) need help technically with their profile or cpu/console

Now don't get me wrong.. I like newbies and i'd encourage them to post but only if its a worthwhile point or start to a meaningfull conversation or debate. Examples such as a newbie starting a thread about PES5 and his views on the game.. when at the top of the forum in bold and red letters it quite clearly states that thread is there for this purpose.. and even worse.. when you get some moron creating an account and sending jibberish about something pointless :realmad: .. this waste's the admins time they then have to close it down and sometimes ban the newbie before he gets chance to cause more disruption. I don't know if this effects the running of the website or the forums.. you'd have to check on that.

So I was thinking that as from a certain date (admin/the boss could set this) maybe all new users should have a introduction week or fortnight.. in this they aren't aloud to create new threads at all.. they can post but only a certain amount of times per day.. they're contribution would be minimal in the first fortnight.. but when considered.. a person thats looking just to get on the forum and mess up the sections filtering it with pointless threads won't want to wait a fortnight to be verified only someone that wants to be a valuable member of the community would keep coming back and want to pass the initiation fortnight.

It would benefit the current members list and could restrict the flow of new members but we could see an uptake in the quality of threads?
Don't get me wrong though.. I am all for laughter and humour in conversation but only where relevent.

Good suggestion and you're right it would definetely wipe out those newbie mofo's who post a lot of crap and waste everyone's time, usually they post something that has nothing to do with the topic being discussed and then it starts a big argument and they just end up banned.

PS. I'd say a week 'trial period' would be enough.

Sounds like a great idea to me, I'm all for it.

No more 'whos better' threads which contain either the comparison of Cygan against Pele or Henry against G.Neville.
I also think 1 week should be enough, but maybe longer depending on if the 'newbie' posts anything. Because a 'newbie' could post 1 excellent reply in the week. So maybe an extension would suit some 'newbies'. Not really sure though, just popping some ideas up.

This is a futile undertaking, believe me. I like your idea of newbies not being able to open a thread until a certain period of time has passed and if someone has some kind of inquirery or problem and they come into the site for the first time to get some help there should be a thread in here somewhere where they get to post their question without the need to open a thread about it. In the other hand you have members in this site that have been around for some time and still open stupid ass threads and make silly comments so your suggestion seems to me to be quite pointless. And i kind of doubt its possible to do this otherwise someone would have taken care of it already i think.

Youre post is way too long for some people on here who have the attention span of a banana ;)

I support your idea though, but its really hard to make it come true.
Maybe an zero-tolerance policy would work here, spam/racism/etcetera = .. day ban. Immediately, without a warning. Shouldve read the rules first.

And please, get rid of that "why am I banned section" or only let longterm-banned users spit their sorry's there. I get crazy with all those banned idiots who did something wrong and just come on like "why m i bannd" and "t waz onli a joke".
Of course, just an idea.

Great suggestion, and I would probably like to see it introduced, but there are a few problems with it:

First, some people need help (with patching etc), and probably don'ty want to wait a week to get help, thus driving them to another site such as Evo web.

Second, as my first point, some people might be put off by having to wait a week to make a thread, although if the reasons were explained clearly in an e-mail straight after registering, they may understand, although personally I wouldn't make a posting limit.

Over all I think this is a very good suggestion, and I would like Hitman to take this into consideration, although I am sure he won't like the off putting effect of this, as more members=more posts, which equals bigger advertising deals.

I agree as far as New threads are concerned but no restriction on posts ......

Just because someone is new to registering on this site doesn't mean that they stumbled across Konami's genius yesterday and they have the intellectually capacity of an amoeba....

The amoeba thing certainly isn't exclusive to newbies , I am a living example .....

Not all newbies are ignoramus clots. I'm fairly new too. Anyway I support your ideas mate. But I yhink auto-bans are the way to go.
