Talking online in the legends mode

Hi lads,
sorry if I'm missing something easy, but I haven't worked out how to talk to other people in the lobby or during legends matches. I can do the 'pass' call and use the preset phrases (i.e. 'It went well' :fplm:), but I've seen other people typing their own messages. It could be requesting a match in the lobby, or bollocking team-mates at half time in a match.

What am I missing?

I believe looking at network options once logged in will allow you to add your own phrases and compose messages when sending invites - have a good look through the menu once your logged on, it's in there somewhere!

Not sure there as I havent played online yet but can you not just press R2 and type from the keyboard?

Use the right analog stick button. Once you push in the right analog stick, you should get the chat menu. Now use the A (for xbox) X (for PS) or ENTER (for PC) you should now be able to talk.

Just so you know, you cannot talk in-game. Only before the game, after each half or when the game has been paused.

This begs the question, why no voice chat? Surely 360 players can chat to one another via the headset. So why nothing similar for the PC version? Even an Xfire add-on to autologon would do fine.
