Let me start by saying that I play 99% of my games in Master League every year. When I bought the game, the first thing I did was to unlock all of the classic teams on 5 minute games as fast as possible by winning the International cup 7 times and doing whatever tasks I had to to unlock any others. I was always slightly annoyed that I couldn't simply carry that over from the last year, but such is life.
This year I'm forced to play an UNBELIEVABLE number of games to unlock the classic players before I start my ML experience, and the 50/10 ratio is forcing me to do so primarily online (which I loathe). My internet connection sucks, so at this point I'll be extremely lucky to be able to start my ML before december. Just unlocking Classic Brazil (which used to require 7-5 minute offline games) now takes 30 offline contests before I can open the team. As much as I love the improvements to the gameplay, the GP system to unlock classic teams and players might be the worst thing this franchise has done in years in my eyes.
I'm just curious if this is an issue for anyone else, or if MLO has driven everyone away from ML offline.
