Now, i go pretty far back to the ISS Pro days pre 2000 and i do love 11. I like it much better than Fifa. But there are some things that just absolutely drive me nuts

When the pc decides they want to score, they are just going to score. Whether rebouds go directly to them (that has been a huge problem with WE/PES for quite a long time) to my guys having no reactions or ignoring the commands i'm giving them. Drives me nuts.

Why do my guys sometimes go into that "daze" when they are touched or during a loose ball? It's kike the stumble/stutter and take 3 seconds to react when the cpu doesn't seem to have that problem whatsoever

I don't think it's scripted as much as i think it's the odds being stacked against you at certain times in the match. I personally think Konami changes the probability of outcomes sometimes against you at higher levels. There are just too many times i see rebounds go towards the cpu at opportune times and against me, not to mention how many times my player will completely ignore my command and do something on his own that usually results in the cpu getting a quality chance. In the same breathe however, my guys will rarely ever clear the ball for me in a dangerous position while defending.

Anyone else?

Yes I feel your pain, playing on regular is a more pure experience this time round but sadly also to easy. Konami need to address this more than anything in next years version.

The cursor issue is being looked into currently but I'd be surprised if they totally fix it. I'm finding the way defenders react to through balls frustrating, I've had defenders step away from them or not react at all. The best thing to do is to predict where they will go and use slide tackle to block them, I've had a bit of success doing that but its not always ideal as sometimes you can catch the player its meant for ... which gets you a red card! I've had some quite amusing - bloody annoying at the time - times where my keeper parries a shot and I'm unable to select the player I want leaving the other player an easy tap in.

There's an odd bit of programming as well with goalies, hold down the button to bring them out of goal and they run forward, stop, move backwards and then run out. I can only imagine Konami have done this to give a chance to the attacking player to reach the through ball.

Some of the physics in how players react to through balls will need slighty tweaking for PES2012. I played a guy on line the other night who just hit through balls from his own half along the deck non stop, some of them seem to dissect your whole team! That said I use long chipped through passes and the amount of times I'm through on goal is unreal.

That's because PES is now copying FIFA.

Honestly, the people who cannot see this.... are massive fanboys.

How did Konami made it feel "different" to FIFA? Simple, the defenders always catch up with you even when you are well past them.

Can you imagine the amount of one-on-one situations against the goalkeeper, if the defenders did not catch up with you?

Well, that is what happens in FIFA.... defenders do not catch up with you when you run past them, you rarely see John Terry catching up with Fernando Torres after Fernando Torres ran past him.

PES? You get groups of three defenders closing you down... catching up with you when it is utterly obvious that they should not cath up with you... since you already beat the defender.

Some people rightly criticize the amount of one-versus-one situations in FIFA; however, is it that much better to do what Konami did?

Of course, the cursor issue takes the cake.... as there is absolutely no reason for such a fundamental issue to be a part of a "finished" product; which of course, PES11 is not.

the cursor thing is my main issue. really screwed me over a couple of times.

overall it's nothing new. every PES has had issues even in the golden era of the older generation versions.

i'm having an excellent time playing MLO. i've scored some awesome goals that made me feel just like the old days of PES. and of course i've been scored on in the same way.
