This is going to be my last year with PES

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the game. I've had PES for the past 5 years and even saved up money for a long ass time to get a PS3 just so I could experience the high quality game of it. But honestly, I've been extremely disappointed with the online mode and certain noticeable aspects of the game. I think I'm a patient guy, but this time, it's gotten too darn far.

Today, I was playing in a online competition (Konami Tournament). As most of you may know, the matches are 5 mins long. I was playing a D2 guy with a rating of 624 and was beating him 5-0 by the 75:00. Then, he decides to start scoring own goals as soon as he kicks off. Guess what? After 3 own goals, the match cancels saying something along the lines of "unacceptable transation" match cancels, and my rating goes down and I get a loss!!

Trust me, I don't really care about ratings cause a. it doesnt truly reflect a person's skills (button lag, luck, etc), and b. i know there are plenty of other people better than me. Still, it's ridiculous that if I lose to a guy that has a lower rating than me, it's -17 but only +5 if I beat some D1/D2 person.

For a comany that suggests to "turn off your virus protections" to prevent button lag, I hold no respect. Also, I think it's very ridiculous how your players won't run towards the ball because there's no cursor on them. Honestly, I clicked "switch player" like 23952395 times and it wouldn't switch and the defender I wanted to use just stood there and let the guy dribble right past him. I could ramble on for hours the complaints I have for the aspects of the game, but that's not why I really made this thread.

These are just my thoughts. I'm not trying to convince anyone to quit playing PES but nonetheless, I feel that Konami isn't doing jack$h!t to lead to our demands. Im going to try out FIFA next year as I heard there is hardly any complaints with online play. For now, I'll spend the remainder of my time with PES playing community members.

Are you SURE you got a loss? It happened to me plenty of times, losers that score own goals, and I always get a 3-0 win when they do it.

I hear you, thats why I don't play those competitions anymore, too many issues with retards online + 5 minute games are a joke and on top of it every competition I played in every game was against Barca or Real, so it got a bit tiring. I still play quickmatch but I prefer playing with you guys in the community. Funny how I never get the button lag playing community games.... Anyway, as far as jumping ship, I don't know, we don't have much alternative out there except for FIFA and I really don't think its a better game. Maybe online works better but gameplay wise PES is still better.

NightAzn17, I saw that you were playing that tournament. What I didn't get was that you were ranked 8th in goal ranking but I didn't see you in the round of 16.

Anyway, I reached the final and played some argentinian dude that had a ranking of 720. At first I thought I was going to lose for sure, but I scored 2 goals in the first half and I was dominating too.

All of a sudden I made a tackle in the 65th minute, a tackle that shouldn't have been more than a yellow and they red carded my left back. That dude scored 3 goals in less than 15 minutes. I was bummed out but kept on going and in the 89th minute I score the equalizer. I was on top of the world at that time. I was so happy.

We start playing the first half of overtime, and for some f-king reason my forwards didn't want to score. I was in front of the goalie at least 3 times, I wasted goals that I would have scored any other time, he couldn't even pass the midfield, and then 28th minute of overtime he scores the winner. I was pissed but I still kept on trying and then I hit the post on the last second of the game.

I was awarded 2nd place and while I'm still bummed out that I lost, I'm pleased with the fact I reached the final and had the second best goal score ranking on my first try on an online tournament.

I agree with DIECI, what's the point of playing a game that is lag free but at the same time sucks on their gameplay. This has been my first year playing online and while I get really stressed out when I lose to cheaters out there who wouldn't stand a chance with me if lag was an issue, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Obviously we need to unite and tell KONAMI to step up their game and let them know that even though we prefer PES over FIFA, FIFA is catching up.

Tbh I gave up on online football ages ago. I get enough fun out of the single player modes. It just doesnt make sense how a game like COD or GTA can handle a dozen people from around the globe all running about eachother in different directions, but PES can't manage a one on one encounter when your opponent is less than 100 miles down the road.

I gave up playing those tournaments.... 1st of all I could never find one and I have no clue how. .. I did a few times but wasn't any fun at all, every game I played was against Barca or Real really lame! I played a few games last night, my 1st was against NightAzn17 in the cummunity and I had no lag, played a fun game, then he got off and I went to play quick matches and had button lag in 3 consecutive games, I finally turned it off and played NBA2k10 for a while! Button Lag really kills this game, I wish they would find a solution becuase I dont even care about my rank or the silly flat ball anymore! If I have the button lag Im quitting!

I almost give up online play, button delay makes this game unplayable, I used to play 2008 on ps2, it was laggy, but no button delay, still playable.

I have tried about 30 games so far, I quitted about half of those due to button delay, I remember I only had one good game
