I'm a dumbass when it comes to computer... I have no idea how to download and patch... well I know how to download... is there a link or something that would give me step by step???

All the patches are in the File Downloads section and all the guides to patching are in the General Editing section. Which game are you trying to patch? Follow the guide to patch as posted along with the patch in the patch thread.
