I have organised a few tournaments with my mates coming to my house, usually I lose tragically...I have however a few ideas on formats we use when they come around. Perhaps some other people may have some formats or suggestions.
The idea behind it is becuse sometimes its difficult becuse odd numbers show up i.e not 4, 8, or 16
1.
5 player Tournament.
What we do here is play a mini leauge with 6 teams. Everyone has an original one player team and the 6th team is made up of a mulit player team. We play off the tournament and everyone plays everyone else, when the turn comes you play the multi player team which consists of everyone else. This is good fun and means that you dont have to wait ages for a game.
2.
6 player tournament. You enter two 4 team leauges. Group a and b (champions leauge format ) with top two qualifying to the next stage. The 3 players from group A who have been drawn toghether make up a multi player team in group B playing against other mates. The guys in group B play in group A as a multi player team.
This can also be done with 12 but will need two tvs and playstaions etc.....
Wondering if anyone else has any suggestions.......
If you have odd numbers coming around to play try this, it really is good fun and you dont have to wait ages for a game....
p.s dont kill me if someone has alrady posted this suggestion, i did search......
