Transfer Negotiations vs. Morale HELP!!!

How is it that every time a transfer negotiation comes through for one of my players in the Master League the setting goes from "theres nothing to suggest he is unhappy at the club" to "desperately seeking a transfer" ?! I had barely finished my first season and every player that'd been offered a transfer became increasingly unhappy.. Their wages should be more than adequate and for the most part they're playing 90% of games, and yet every time i deny a transfer that white line (which i'm guessing is morale) gets lower and lower.. What measures can I take to prevent this? If not reverse it?! Thanks.

The main thing to look at is when you go to your squad list there will be a bar next to the player's name, this bar is your player's affection towards your club. If this bar is below half then the player is most likely going to be interested in a move, especially if a big club comes in to make a bid. If the bar is over half then it will say things like 'definitely interested in a move' and 'doesn't seem too unhappy either way, could choose to stay with the club' when bids are made for the player.

There are two ways that I know of to avoid this. First one is to obviously make sure your player's affection for the club is high, youth team products will have great affection for the club and also players who have been with you for at least 2 seasons featuring regularly for the first team will also have pretty high affection. The other way is when a bid comes in for a player you don't want to sell then adjust the terms to an unfairly high price and the club will back off and your player's affection will remain unchanged.

Thanks for the response, it was very helpful. I will test to see if the over-pricing tactic works on the player's club loyalty status.. Although I've started the Master League again with a lesser team and adjusted the transfer settings to low, so hopefully I'll be able to keep the majority of my players happy!
