Turned on PS3 and i was automically asked to download the 1.20 update when I launched game from XMB.

Do Still need to download from system settings as well?, it is letting me but wasn;t sure if I was doing the same thing twice.

No the automatic update is an other update. Some new futures. But the Data update needs to be downloaded in system settings.

So you aren't doing things twice.
