Hi all!! Ok this is my problem. When im playing a match on WE8, i get about 5 chances one on one with the keeper, but the chance to score for me 1 on 1 is only about 5%. i Dont know why i can never get past the keeper 1 on 1 he always comes out and gets his body in the way..i've tried lobbing the keeper but 80% of the time they go over the bar. Does anyone have any tips for me scoring 1 on 1 with the keeper? when i shot faking the ball usually gets taken off me because of the defenders tugging my shirt. not scoring 1 on 1 looses me entire matches...
any help appreciated
hm, it`s true that they finally improved the keeper`s iq from toddler to a pro (or at least to somebody who`s playing soccer) in the new series, but it`s still not that impossible to net in the goals. anyway, i just tried some techniques and am listing which worked the most so maybe you can try them.
1.if you are still far from the goal (somewhere before the penalty box) and the keeper comes out try to take a direct shot on the goal, but shoot right or left to the goalie (or the angle which is more open in the situation) using the direction pad additionally to the shoot button (pressing only the shooting button usually leads to the player aiming directly on the keeper). in this case i hope you are familiar with the way konami crippled the logical direction inputs; f.ex. if you run on the goal from left side (of the screen) to the right and you want to put the ball to the right side (attacking player`s view) from the onrushing keeper you have to push the right button+shooting button (and not the logical combination of right+down or down). of coz, pushing left+shoot will make your player aim to the left from the goalie (but then again you have to be careful to push the directional button while(!) your shoot gauge is charging, which is like a 1/100 of a second, so as not to mistakebly turn 180C first before you shoot). sounds unbelievable, but try it in a training session, you will see it even more clearly at corner kicks when trying to head the ball). also try to make the shot power 3/4 (on the gauge). running speed should be normal (not dash) and best distance between keeper and player should be at least 4meter and not more than 7-8 meter. i just tried this tactic and it worked 5 times out of 5 (running a straight line from left to right shooting from somewhere at the level of the panalty box line).
2.loop shooting the keeper actually works from that range as well but you`re right you have to be very sensitive with the shooting button. best distance (player-goalie) for a loop shoot is between 3-5 meters, running speed is normal and you really have to only slightly tap the shoot button while pressing L1.
3.if you are already in the penalty box with the goalie coming onto you, the best way (at least it worked an amazing 10/10 with me; maybe a bug?) is to use the quick combination of down-up on the right analog stick in a quick succession. the player will just shootlift the ball very slightly but it almost always tricks the goalie into diving. running speed is normal and working distance between goalie and player is 3-4 meters. you should rehearse this (special) move often as the combination may sometimes lead your player into producing a roulette (360C) move instead of a shot. even if the goalie doesn`t dive he still won`t be able to catch the ball but will merely block and let it slip to the ground (in front of you) again thus so you can net it in with a second shot. oh, this move is not goal directed, which means if the straight line your player is running on doesn`t lead into within the diameter of the goal this shot will not be automatically directed into the goal (that`s the bad side of the trick). hope you could understand that, sorry, english is not my mothertongue.
i hope these will work for you.
