can i use a normal usb , to load the option file that i take it from the internet (rossyboy). can i use it on my ps2 , or i need to have max drive.

you need the max drive disk. or some sort of disk, not too sure what the other options are. but you must have a max drive.

You need to have the max drive disk. it serves as the intermediary between ps2 and the thumbdrive which containing the option file. without the disk, ps2 might not be able to detect the thumbdrive.

Well I don't have a max drive to transfer it but I use CodeBreaker which is a cheating program but can also transfer saves data.
But I think MaxDrive is cheaper if you can't get the pirated CodeBreaker.
