Using Manual Passing for Free Kicks (Right Stick)

I don't know if anybody else has noticed, but I cannot use manual passing (using the right stick) during free kicks. Manual passing works during game play, but I normally use it for free kicks.

I am playing the PC version using a Logitech Rumblepad 2 (wired)
My game controller settings are correct.

I never noticed this problem playing PES 2009 (which I still play).
