I thought I'd should put this in its own topic...

Anyways, after having problems with pes08 I formatted my pc. Now that error seems to be gone, however I'm getting a new error and it is still pointing at the exe???



I'm starting to think they have sold me a dodgy copy! Does anyone have any ideas before I take this bloody thing back??

I looks like thats all to do with microsoft office...

Ive searched Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error in google and it comes up with different programs, and different ways of fixing it. Pfffffffffff

This is pissing me off now! I phoned konami and they said to email the support team. Now I'll have to wait and see what they say, if anything.

After I went to the shop and got a replacement, the same shit is happening!!!!

I had both .NET framework 2+3 installed then thought I might aswell install .NET framework 1. Now it is coming up with a different error screen, but its still a runtime error.......................

Here is the new errors........

Soon as I load my game up I get the following...

After this it closes PES.

Now... When I type run>eventvwr, it shows the application error...

When I click on the link inside that window, I get a new window with the following information...

@Don Sweey, I have tried absolutely every mate, and nothing. :(

@Ahmedmaster, you sure that's your error? because that's pointing at your iexplore.exe. I think there's a solution for that somewhere. But if you have the same error as me, it will point at the pes2008.exe.

Also, I'm sure its nothing to do with the graphics card, just wondering what card you have, also what drivers do you have?

BTW, I think if you replace .dll files, you need to register them in the CMD. Someone will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong.

its konami-microsoft error

From what I've heard, they have completely messed up pes08! Why don't they just build on what they had from pes6??????????????

Now I'm going to have to wait god knows how long for them to fix this error! And there's no guaranty that they will even fix this!!! I'm hoping I can overcome this problem, as I've posted this problem on other forums with I.T experts. (No offence to the people trying to help here :))

I'm currently downloading Directx SDK. I have no idea if this will fix the problem but from what I see on microsoft it sounds promising. :)

Download the complete DirectX SDK, which contains the DirectX Runtime and all DirectX software required to create DirectX compliant applications in C/C++ and C#.

Overview
This DirectX SDK release contains updates to tools, utilities, samples, documentation, and runtime debug files for x64 and x86 platforms.

This Directx is 400+mb lol... So I'm praying there's something in there that will fix this!
