WE7 gripe thread

here are some of the things which annoy me in WE7:

1) The japanese language (obviously)
2) The ball seems to light
3) Strikers defend too much
4) The CPU don't score or create chances that often
5) Too fast?

there are, though, many good points about the game.

Can't really complain about Japanese language seeing as the game is aimed for the Japanese.

I agree with sometimes the ball seems a bit light, I just try to think of it though that my Fevernova ball is much lighter and the world cup ones were ;)

Speed stat is a small problem, some players sprint so fast it's scary, although taking the ball around a player whilst sprinting is seeming 10 times harder than PES2

Creating chances/CPU creating chances could be improved. I don't see that many "decent" chances a game, long range shooting seems my best bet until I can craftly carve my way through the CPU defence (this is on level 3 too!)

Not really any other problems. People say the players stand weird for fks/gks but they look alright too me.

Best football game I've ever played by far, if these are the biggest gripes about the game then the stuff that's good really is amazing.

Good thread wixon.

I don't like the over-harshness of the refs but I haven't bothered changing the ref settings yet so they are on default. Is there a big difference when you change them?

Players missing simple chances gets to me. But I was lucky that Rivaldo missed when he was playing against me, although he was 4 yeards from an open goal and smacked it over.

I don't like all the editing that needs to be done but I guess a patch will solve all that.

Beckham looks like a pig. Hope we can find some way to use his face from WE6:FE put into WE7.

I don't like the fact that you can't register created players into club teams. And that the transfers are so out of date - again this is being sorted by nice people with X-Port.

The CPU's idea of defence is to pack their box full of players so you can't shoot.

And I don't like the fact that it is too damn hot to enjoy the game properly!!

Here in the Netherlands there was a report in a gamesmagazine about the PES series. The developers of PES can make the game totally perfect, with only a few bugs (1 to 3) but they won't because a sequel wouldn't be necessary, except the rosters.
Making a few bugs and some things to improve is only to have a good sale for the sequel.

So now you know why things are gettin improved bit by bit. :D

I guessed you already figured this out.

I find it really annoying when your player heads the ball to the opponent's keeper when you were trying to pass the ball backwards from an advanced position.

It's also annoying that it can take a while before your keeper can throw the ball to a player. Okay, so it stops you making mistakes, but that's my problem, right?

Slide tackling is completely stupid. Time a tackle perfectly and still you get penalised and even carded.
