WE8 Mistakes

as far as now we can say:

1. the self-updated stats of players abilities go back to default when a new ML is started

2. there a no striped shirts in the edit mode

3. the stutter problem again


it really makes the game less enjoyable!
someone should tell konami to get rid of those letdowns before releasing PES4 in europe , for I wont buy it when it hasnt changed that!

and i wont be the only one im sure..

the other day i was playing against my brother and when it showed the tunnel both teams were real madrid when one of them shouldve been man utd

ede444 u should play we8/pes4 coz its the best soccer game...if u search for the mistakes theyve mistakes u sure find them but if u go play fifa u sure do find LOTS OF STUPIDS ERRORS IN GAMEPLAY

Point 1 was known before the release, annoying thing, especially for people who don´t have a chipped console, because if you have one it´s not a big problem, just edit the stats on the PC and burn it onto a DVD, when you start a ML the player ratings will be loaded from the disc and not from the memory card. Anyway, you can´t say this is a programming error, Konami did this on purpose, to "prevent cheating", as they say.
Also the thing which razor mentioned was already known since the last video showing a match between Real and Valencia, you could only see Real in the tunnel. This bug seems to happen if Spanish teams are involved. Funny thing
Slowdowns are qutie annoying, luckily it happens only at corners for me, and not in every stadium.

If you edit player stats they remain edited when you play friendlies or normal cups, leagues etc, but they will be restored to default for the ML. It means, if you think some players are rated wrong and correct their stats, they will have the wrong, old stats in the ML.

It isn't actually both teams in the tunnel. In the spanish league, the home side walks from the tunnel after the away side has taken the field. Something that every spanish side does. dont know if it is out of respect or for effect.

You can see 2 teams in the tunnel, both have the same kits...

Funny thing,

I was playing as Real vs Barcelona and Barcelona players were already on the pitch, and my team Real was in the tunnel waiting to come out. And there weren`t double (same) teams. I`m %100 isure it was only one team which is Real Madrid . It`s a funny thing the way they line them up in the tunnel almost look like it`s two teams in the tunnel when it`s only one. I don`t think that`s a bug, it even makes bigger sence and more realistic feeling. I remember when Valencia player vs Madrid, they were first outside (they came out later which TV didn`t show) and then the favourites (real mad) made their way to the pitch.

Stutter: I don`t think WE8 suffers from stutter bug whatsoever. Now, there is a slowdown issue that can be eliminated but not completely. The best solution I found was is:

Play on Olimpiastation.
Choose camera angle next to Wide , I believe its intermediate (this camera isn`t the same as in WE7 or WE7IJ.) it`s the camera used for EURO 2004. So choose that camera, put it on angle 9 and you`ll see major imrovement. Actually all stadiums work this way. I played on some stadium don`t know the name, and the camera was TV3 almost the entire game was having slowdowns..

I´ve also thought about the Spanish league feature, that both teams come out separately. But I´m 100 % sure that I saw 2 teams, but they both had the same kit. When they entered the pitch there was only one team coming out

Who cares about that anyways..lol nothing to worry about..

Had a good game France (me) vs Japan.. it ended 1 - 1 and I won on PK`S. PK`s improved, they are much more fluid and smooth. I also like the new animation when keeper raises his arms.. etc..

The pre-screens do show the away team alread on the pitch waiting.

I suspect they just use the same animation as before other games, but have ALL the animated players in the tunnnel wearing the home team shirts, and that's why it looks like there are 2 teams.

But I mean if it has both teams wearing the same kits in the tunnel, then surely that is a bug! I mean I wouldnt like to see that in PES4. Unless it actualyl is, as someone mentioned that the other team is on the field waiting. But I dont get it, how come one person says one thing and another says something else, you both have the game, so surely there should be some concensus on what actually happens in the tunnel/on the pitch.

Hmm, I always play with the "Wide" Camera view, hopefully that would taper the slowdown a bit. I just heard from somewhere that a players speed is not what we expected it to be, and defenders could still catch up to stall an attack. Can anyone confirm, or disagree?

I´m right. Maybe the others are right too. Maybe this bug appears only sometimes. But it´s definately a bug and I´m definately right, because I´ve seen 2 teams with Real Madrid kits in the tunnel. Anyway, like someone said before, it´s not really crucial, just funny, as I have the presentation turned off most of the time I don´t really care.
