OK, I tried to load a good WE7:IJ option file (from evo-web) into WE8 and it seemed to work.
A lot of the players in the France and Italy teams now have English names.
Also a lot of Arsenal and Liverpool players have English names too. So it seems to have worked.

And then I clicked on some random options and one of them copied flags from the WE7:IJ file to the WE8 one but it seems they are stored on it and you get to choose them for whichever club they should go with manually. Will check that later.

If you want to check it out using the snazzy option files editors, let us know what happens.

In the Load option file part you see:

You can transfer this file using an X-Port.
The X-Port sticky thread is in the General console section.

How do I get English text?..

Do I have to open up the files on my PC, and change all the txt to English?..and then burn my game..

I am confused, so if I dont have an X-Port I cant use this option file?..

Please someone help me :<

Hey Zyg, it doesn't work with either of the option file editors.
robokun...... if you don't have an x-port you can't transfer this option file to your ps2.
gflare........ it's the Japanese version of WE8. ;)

Firewire or USB?

hi I'm a PS2 newbie, and I have a question which might sound silly. can I transfer files from the PC to the PS2 using a Firewire/iLink cable or a USB disk on key?

Sorry to spoil the party, but is it really sensible to use the evo-web Option File ? From what I can remember the stats are way to exaggerated in this file :confused:

:( Its would be much easier if this Option file is a patch so i can just use ppf-o-matic to apply the patch to the game. Using x-port is such a hassle ,i would wait for an english patch.
