I asked Konamilk who has translated a few past issues of Famitsu for me. Here's what he said:

I've translated the pic of "New actions for WE8"
Plz correct & rewrite this text to make sense...
And ask me if you want details.


-New action-dribble(upper left in the pic)

Stop the ball & turn around to goal direction = neutral D-pad+R2

Push out the ball in front of player = R1+L1 while stopping (after that action,you can do more accurate shot or long pass with kicker's main foot)

-New action-Pass(bottom left)

Serch-pass = push pass-button for a long time

Centering direction = enter direction while centering

-New action-feint(upper right)

Upper-body feint = enter D-pad / + \ ( or \ + / ) while dribbling

Flip the ball = Right A-stick down + up (why is this new?)

-New action-free kick(bottom right)

Select number of kickers = push Select button to select (2 kickers on the right side of the ball - 2 on the left - only 1 - loop..)

Let 2nd kicker kick = L1 + kick (pass & shot)

Let the kicker near the ball push out it = push R3

The important thing i think, is for someone who knows japanese, to make a translation patch when the game is out. Anyone here who knows such a person? This should be prepared right now!

in pictures 9 and 10, it shows the special abilites (the ones with the stars). I'm sure you all know them. 5 new special abilities are added to the previous special abilites:
- Dribble Keep
- Line positioning
- Side player
- Center player
- Sliding

Lami, are you finding it easy enough to get round the game using your knowledge of japanese? will you (or anyone) be putting up some sort of in-depth guide at any point? cheers.

when we7 came out the translation was on gamefaqs within 2 days i think so just ear with it a while.

by the way where is zygs option file? did he do it by copying the we7i data?

hi from athens ,my first post here...
Any noticeable differences between the xbox and ps2 versions of we8 or later pes4? I suppose the graphics on xbox should be better but did konami included anything extra into any of the versions?

Hi all, this is my first post (of many).

If those translation pics that sulp had could be hosted somewhere else that would be great as I can't find my way around the game at all at the moment!

I managed to get the option file to work so a few english player names appear now which is better.
