WEFA Championships/Masters' Cups Qualification Criteria [PES3/WE7]

In PES3/WE7:
WEFA Championships = real life Champions League
WEFA Masters' Cup = real life UEFA Cup.

-*- Finish in the top 2 positions in your regional Division 1 - Automatic qualification for Champions League.

-*- Finish in 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th in your league - Qualify for the preliminary group stage of Champions League. Top 2 go through to Champions League, bottom 2 go into the UEFA Cup.

-*- Win either of the 4 Division 1 Cups- Qualify for the Uefa Cup.

This gives 16 teams for the Champions League (4 groups of 4). And 12 teams for the UEFA Cup (4 of which get a bye in the first round - probably the 4 Cup winners).

Yes Zyg,no by's in the Uefa,but it comes up just before your tenth league game.Teams who finished 3rd and 4th from THE SAME CL GROUP play each other in the first round

Thats seems right, thanks for clearing that up Zyg. Someone said that by winning the 2nd Div you go to Uefa Cup, but it didnt happen to me, so I guess he was wrong.

plus i think one team is not allowed to play in both the Champions League and the Masters Cup within the same season.

Let's say my team won the Div 1 title and the Div 1 Cup. I can then only play in the Champions League the next season, not both!

One more add-on, in real UEFA Cup, the teams who are in 3rd in group stage of the UEFA Champions League are qualified for the UEFA Cup (3rd stage). Just like Inter-Milan who was just sent to the consolation of UEFA Cup (hehe, no offense to Inter fans, but I just wanna make it clear).

So is WE7/PES3 like this too?

It's a crap rule in real life and a crap rule in the game!
Arsenal could be knocked out in the next round of the Champs League and yet Inter could win the UEFA cup.... Crap!

No that's wrong because the UEFA cup's whole draw is decided before the start of the league,and no teams transfer over

that's what i thought, but juve (cpu) are in both in my ML season 6.

Yes you can. If you were to finish 3rd or 4th in the group stage, you go in the UEFA cup.
