So Xbox users get to play online and us loyal PS2 owners are given the finger. Does anyone else feel totally and utterly let down by Konami?
Let me think.... you bet ur ar*e. I bought Pro evo 1. I bought Pro evo 2. I bought pro evo 3 while Xbox users were telling me what a load of cr*p Pro evo was and that i should get a real soccer game like Fifa. Well thanks very very much Konami, this leaves a real bad taste in the mouth and it will have undoubtedly shattered an awful lot of Ps2 owners. Cheers....

Ps...money talks Microsoft doesn't it? :D

I feel you brother ( even tho i now have xbox plus live :D) i think its because xbox live has a better online setup, xbox has its own online servers unlike the ps2 which basically just use's lobbies to host games. Maybe PES4 wouldn't run as good using the ps2 online system. But don't dispair maybe konami might bring out some kinda update patch for online gaming, seen has konami has not offically said online for PS2 will not be available for PS2 full stop

yea true exactly but i doubt it will be on ps2 online maybe ps3

even though i could buy an xbox seems stupid just to buy it for 1 game..plus its better on the ps2!

^ If you play pro evo the most it makes sense tho.... personally the onli games i ever used to consistantly play where metal gear pro and gta, seen as two of the three are comming out for xbox it made sense for me


and xbox has a higher graphics capability than any other console, games that have been available for both consoles have usually been better on the xbox such as

Rainbow six 3
Burnout 3
Splinter Cell

So evo maybe faster and alot sharper than the PS2 version

It's not about Konami being loyal to ps2 owners. It's about ps2 owners being loyal to Konami. I'm getting an Xbox ASAP with Xbox Live, let's rock.

^^yea i suppose i would of bought the xbox but to much hassle connecting up etcc,i would just rather buy the game and play it straight away..

I am with you Dparti. To me it is just amazing did PS 2 not think that people who had always been loyal to them would overlook the fact of online play with some bullshit comment like we will have to see how it goes before we dip our toe in, it beggars belief. I am afraid that xbox is the way forward from now on dam PS2 are going to lose a shit load of existing customers. I for one will definately look to getting a xbox!!!

I own a PS2 and I very jealous of all XBOX live owners but the more I think about it the more I realise that I don't care. Loads of my friends ( who I have converted ) have XBOX live anyway so I can just go round theirs and play it and show them what a great game it is.

yea innit i was soo close to getting an xbox but i had a sudden change of heart dont know why! :confused: at first i was like got to get an xbox but then when i fought abt the goods and bads of getting an xbox there were more bads...and sooo roll on pes4!! :D

Yes i was devasted at first , but i got an xbox and moved on, xmas is comming so if you can't affored one get the parents to get on it, it could have been much worse xbox could have bought all the rights to PES4

Time to get with the times people, PS2 can't even handle WE8 offline let alone PES4 online. Xbox version is online cos of Xbox Live and it's success, Sony have never had any confidence in their online service cos they've never shouted about it. PS2 is an old giffa tottering in the aisle beside the John Smiths while the Xbox is a Stan Smith wearing yoof trying to get past for the double hard Stella. Don't be so blinkered PS2ers, Konami want you to play their game, and more people are gonna play if it's online, if PS2 can't do it, do you think Konami are gonna go 'Oh well, we'll just wait for PS4' If you want to play online, swallow your pride, buy an Xbox, if you don't or it's too heartbreaking to put Grandad back in his box, play it on PS2.

to be honest people who say Pro Evo is crap and have an xbox are just really not footie fans or worse still fifa fans. I doubt that because they called pro evo crap that they will buy it because it is on their console!

What xbox have done putting it online only furthers its reputation, xbxo have done a wondeful thing! I pre-ordered my xbox copy a few minutes ago!

Why would anyone want to be loyal to a console manufacturer anyway?

When Sony designed their console, that forces you to pay out extra money to make game saves, to have more than two players and to play online were they showing you any loyalty?

The xbox is dirt cheap now, you can get cheap controller convertors if you need them and practically every good game on the ps2 (except those produced by sony) will be on the xbox anyway.

Owning an xbox is not an admission that your ps2 is suddenly crap. It just shows that you're clever enough to enjoy the best of both worlds!

Xbox owners that say PES is crap are just fooling themselves! Yes, I play fifa due to lack of options. It's actually entertaining when I have 3 friends playing with me. Since they never played PES, they love it too! Ignorance is bliss!

But I can't wait to convert to PES, even though I have little experience with the series (I played ISS on N64 and PES3 demo on PC). If I could have 4 players on my PC, I'd be playing PES3 exclusively ...

i own both and i can guarantee all ps2 users that you won't regret buying an xbox (only we7 is still being played at my ps2)

So if you like shooters also you'll be pleased to play 'rb6 ba' and halo2 soon even battlefield modern combat is coming to xbox and will be much better on the xbox due to the online infrastructure

i have just bought an xbox in anticipation of pes4 online i have been playing burnout 3 on live and it is awsome just cant wait for pes4 to come.

i have never had any lag or anything on xbox live i would agree that the servers and online caperbilities of the xbox are far greater than ps2

as for you guys who cant be assed to set it up all you do is plug some cable in from your pc to your xbox and it works peace of piss.

but i do still think pes4 should be online for ps2

but the graphics and will be far better on xbox and it will probly run without slowdown on corners as well.

this is not a ps2 dis as i have had 1 for years and its still better in terms of how many game there is to play on it but xbox beckans for real pes lovers

I'm totally hearing you mate, but I guess I can live with no-online play, my main concern is the gameplay, if that's up to scratch then i'll start to moan about lack of online play.

It's not a case of loyalty, the ps2 is no longer head of the roost, and the online play is crap. When Xbox promises, you'll know it'll deliver. It's a good decision not to put it online on the ps2, they're punishing the foolish playstation owners. Playstation no longer has the advantage of the exclusives anymore, and the Pro Evolution will be a successful buy for Microsoft. Now the mugs that didnt get the Xbox have to fork out 100 for the Xbox and 30/40 for the game. Luckily I have both, but I certainly won't be buying ps3.
