to buy or not to buy....
Bad News
Game play :
1) Body balance still major flaws players stumble, freeze and get pushed to the ground indicating clear fouls but no ref blowing his whistle.
2) Players enjoy staring at the ball as it passes by where they could of clearly intercepted but by the time you can select the player its far to late.
3) Players like to run in groups, 3 defenders covering one guy and lots of players running around the field not marking any one just standing around, some times running in circles taking the longest routes to get to a place resulting in major gaps in your defense.
4) Not being able to pass to a specific player when three of your team mates are quite close to each other, player passes to random one or closest one, resulting in interceptions and not being able to play into gaps.
5) While pressuring an attacker other team mates home in on attacker with ball (without you having any control over it) resulting in players leaving their posts creating huge gaps)
6) When you switch from player to player the moment you switch the player you controlled before will stand around for a while before moving along again.
7) Goalkeepers tend to defend or stop the ball behind the goal line resulting in the ball being stopped but still goals being awarded.
Good News:
1) Best soccer game out there when playing online and not against AI.
2) Graphics is a huge improvement on PES 2008
3) Ball control has gotten much better side stepping and dribbling can be used much more to your advantage.
4) New features and game modes
5) More realism and depth added to the game
But overall the flaws in game play can still make a PES fan very frustrated. What disappointing is that Konami haven't solved any of these issues since the last three installments of PES. To enjoy you have to change the way you approach the game but it takes out allot of fun in regards to realism in the game. Even though the game has many flaws its still the best out there....
