I always feel at each difficulty level, there is somethWhat would you credit as the key to your goal scoring a player must get pretty good at to score consistently. I used to play 5* easy on WE8 but on 4* for WE 9 i seemed to have found a stumbling block, so to all you pros out there... What would you say is essential to get good at to score at high levels? Manuvering players while a cross is in the air? Using R2 while shooting? Any advice or tips are welcome. Thanks in advanced ;D

The easiest way to score is the cut-back then first-time shot (which I don't like to use).

Another easy way is to pass to feet of a striker and turn to one side and then shoot.

The best striker is one that is tall, has good balance, pace, shot accuracy and shot power - ADRIANO!!!

Calmness infront of goal, and planning two steps ahead. If you look at the radar like something like a chess board, you think to yaself, "if i do this, and my player actually manages to do it. Where will it leave me after it's done?" Then try and keep one set of instructions worked out ahead.

Also possession is key, so as soon as you realise that you've got little or no chance with one route, don't be affraid to turn around and play it backwards, and start again.

For actually getting a successful shot away, it's all about timing. You want to be releasing the shot button just as the player reaches the ball. Too early and they more often than not balloon it, too late and it kinda scuffs into the ground.

Lightning-fast counter-attacks, where my fast strikers can rip open te 2-3 defenders taht are back.

Or a slow build up, with lots of shots from teh edge of the box if the entire defence is back.

Thank you for reading.
to be honest, and this will sound weird, just relaxing, not getting stressed about misses and thinking about moves etc

Lots of first-time passing, through balls down the wing and running up and down parallel to the area before shooting.

Imagination is the key...always try to exploit the loopholes in opponent's defence by trying different routes of approach...also, make sure you have the right players in the right position.

down the wing cut the ball back with a pass or a cross this tactic works but there are better ways to score recentley I have had alot of sucsess with ball passed from the back to frount chesting the ball and turning the last defender or if the defender makes a mistake going for the volley.

i would say "timing" is the best thing.

you need to wait for the ball to be the right distance away from the player.. and you need to time your shot well. otherwise it might turn into something really crap.. like a chip or watever

The main method of scoring goals for me is quick short passes followed by my striker receiving the ball with back to goal and then the main thing is to know which direction to take the first touch in. Do it right and you get a shooting opportunity, usually to hit corners of net from about 15 yards.

Also, when I turn I almost always use diagonals. If the defender goes with me I do a three step move with the diagonals e.g. i turn diagonal up and left, then down and left, then up and left again and it leaves almost all defenders done for, although timing and knowing when to use it is key.

Another thing that I use heavily is shot feint around defenders and sometimes the keeper.

I just run around the box with one player (who has the ball obviously) in circles, until the defenders make some room (seeing as all 10 players start defending pretty much) and then pass so someone else can make a first time shot.

i would believe.. that it's easy to score goals.. by just making those runs with henry or whho ever your striker is. side step pass and wait for an opening.
