Hello eveybody,

I've just borrowed Fifa09 from my mate (feel abit dirty) and after playing a few games afound some things i liked and somethigns i didnt. But i was left thinking that what would i like to take from fifa to pes?

More teams (licened or unlicened),
The arena bit at the begining during a load screen,
Better options when doing player transfers i.e why its failed,
and the choice of celebration once you have scored,

What would anyone take?

i would really like the choice of celebrations, i think that they should be random so we dont kw what to expect.

For example if u score a 25 yard screamer the player should be exstatic and do a really good celebration. but if u score a tap in from 2 yards it should be a simple team huddle something like that.

^Most player will still do their own celebration. I like that in pes. For example Del piero has 2 celebrations. 1 when he scores a normal goal and the other when he scores a FK. He always does those as far as I remember.
Now from fifa 09 I would take some dribbling moves, more teams included and the penalties most of all.

- The commentary, atmosphere and presentation firstly!
- I would also like to see a more in-depth manager mode similar to Fifa.
- more ball types ffs, not the useless blue and purple balls (seriously who plays with them anyways)
- more leagues, not necessarily 5 billion leagues like fifa, just 6-8 would do.
- more stadiums, ffs once again, just add Old Trafford, Anfield and the major stadiums, to go on about Man Utd and Liverpool being licensed as if it's the best thing since sliced bread and not including their stadiums is ridiculous! Fifa has a nice selection, 46 in total or something, all the major stadiums included except the Bernabeau.
- more stats, if they do include more stats just make it count, to have a kazillion stats like FIFA and nothing counts is pointless.

not the gameplay, I played FIFA09, and though a major improvement, I still enjoy PES09 way more.

More teams, yes. Arena? Not that interested tbh. Transfer system on FIFA is shit. Cumbersome & no option to trade :faceplm:

Presentation, parts of it, certainly. I don't think PES needs the in depth manager mode. If I wanted to manage, I'd get a management game. Only addition to master league management would be the ability to move between teams.
Ball types? Meh. Most of the ones already there are pointless, so not arsed about that.
Stats? Back to a management game again.

I guess I just want to play footy without the staring at pages of unrequired bumph.

On reflection, i think the commentary and expanded selection of teams/players with a better structured league for ML/BAL would be the only things I'd take.

This.
- animations
- the 16-directional movements
- the control systems where you can select whether you want it assisted, semi or manual.
- FIFA's Penalty System

It's shocking when compared to FIFA's which is a shame because I'd much prefer to play my friends back home on pro then FIFA.

Alas I just have to beat them on FIFA in the mean time.

Agree with most of these. The commentary, atmosphere and presentation are good. And more stadiums. I prefer PEs09 gameplay so much more than fifa but it is nice to play with Champ teams and listen to half decent commenary! Pes needs to steal fifa's ideads for a change!!

Don't think so but if you have your console online you can the updates. Not sure if there is way to get them offline and copy them.

oh well thanks for that. just have to updates some teams myself, which takes longer on fifa as once you done one team it takes you 5 mins to to choose antoher team to edit!

on-line, commentary and the licenses (I don't care if they can't get the license for the Premier League or the Bundesliga as long as they include other leagues or teams instead of having 20 blank teams)

I would only take the motions of the players once they get in contact with each other while running and dribbling ...

A lot of mine have been said;

- Online

- Penalty system

- Some sort of collision system that makes the referee in-game recognise that you won the ball, rather than give stupid free-kick decisions. It's not so bad every once in a while, but when you're picking up cards for it, sometimes red, it's annoying.

- More teams, obviously.

- The heading system in midfield is good on FIFA. You can't just hammer down one of the header buttons and expect to get your head on it every time. It needs to be timed properly. This in PES would work well.

- Stadiums. Nowhere near as many as there should be.
