Since Pes 1 you can put preset faces to any player in the game, and since pes 5 you can put any special hairstyle to the any player. Well PES2008 ps2 has the excuse ob being made on an old console and the ps3 version because of the inexperiece working on next gen, but what is now the excuse not to let players put faces on other players? We haven't seen yet the equipment edit mode but at least the player edit mode is similar and the faces added are in very small numbers, IS THAT DIFFICULT TO MAKE A FACE FOR A PLAYER, well even non-professional in the whole world make good faces for players in those files sites. Another thing, I think it was a good idea for KONAMI to make network packs with faces, equipments, and all other possible things.

It's going back to it's roots, not a improvements, just the same game play we have had for many years. This years version will have goods and bad's.

Am I the only one that didn't buy the whole "we're new to next gen, give us a break because PES 6 & 2008 were pretty shit"?? I don't see that as a valid excuse at all, I mean just take games like Gears of War, they produced a brilliant game even though they were new to next gen.

I think they have to do something drastic with PES to change the game engine or something, the players movement extremely pisses me off , you can only move in like 8 directions whereas FIFA you have more freedom.

PES just seems kind of too 'arcady' now...

Sad but true, the crappy Movements take from the Gameplay.. "Looks" extremely arcadey.

But then again, FIFA looks better in terms of Movements and Animations -but- the Gameplay still isn't as good as the Old versions of PES.

PES09 looks just as arcadey as PES08, in terms of Player Movements -but- I'm hoping the Gameplay goes back to PES5.

Completely agree.. I'm one of those fans who used those Features, "Preset Faces" and "Special Hairstyles" -I- thought it was a great Face Editor, even managed to create Accurate versions of Valderrama, Romario, Van Basten, Le Tissier, Bobby Moore, and a few others.

And like you, I'm extremely annoyed with the fact that the so-called Next Gen Version -actually- ended up taking Substance out of the game. The Face Editor is shite, and the Kit Editing is even worst.

Makes me wonder if Konami knows anything about their customers.

I don't follow, what's all this about "Face packs", etc, etc..

I don't have much experience with patches, etc, etc.. Considering I didn't need them before because of the Edit Mode. But, after PES08, I'd like to know about Alternatives.

I would like to know why the faces of players like Nwanku Kanu, Doni, Moretti, Legrottaglie, Dwight Yorke, Diouff were taken oof the game?
