where should i put rooney in a 4-3-3 formation for barca???????

during the transfer market in the middle of my first season as barcelona, i thought that ludovic giuly wasnt playing to his full potential while playing down the right wing so i saw that wayne rooney was transfer listed and i opened transfer negotitations with man u to try a swap deal. fortunatly man u accepted my offer so im just about to play a game with rooney, ronaldinho and eto'o up front.

but the problem is i dont know whether to play rooney as center forward, which would put eto'o on the bench and he has been scoring lots of goals for me and is in top form, or to play him down the right wing, supplying crosses in and cutting in to hopefully score loads of goals for my team??????????

please help me somebody.

Play Rooney on the right but push him towards the centre slightly, so he's like a right sided support striker, with someone like Deco (if you still have him) in a right sided midfield role so they can link up together.

Give it a try anyway.

I have him at Man Utd and i do the same as suggested by Ads...you do need a good passer supporting him (I have Xavi Alonso)...Deco is the perfect man in my opinion....sorted

ads that advice is awesome, rooney scored a hat trick on his league debut for me and finished with 4 goals out of 2 games, because he unfortunatly suffered a heavy injury and was out for 6 weeks. but luckily, he returned just before the d2 cup final and he scored the winning penalty to win the league cup for barcelona and complete the double in my first season of the master league as barcelona.

btw im just about to play ac milan in my first pre-season match

Whats wrong with Van Bommel? Anyways....

Mathieu: good height, stamina, strength, shooting, free kicks, he has it all.

Scholes: not too great at tackling but great passing and lethal shot. Stays in his prime and continues to develop very slowly til he's 35 and even after his fall, his stats just go back to normal so still very playable.

Lampard: self explanatory.

Ballack: good strength, passing, very powerful shot, and fantastic aerial abilities for midfielder.

Nedved: better pace and dribbling than all the above, very powerful shot, good passing but he's on the downhill after 1st season.

Pirlo: amazing passing, fantastic technical abilities and free kicks.

Partick Viera: much better than all of them defensively. good strength, great tackling, great at making chances and his shooting ain't too shabby. his height helps in the box also.

I think Mathieu and Scholes are your best deals as they should be at least 1/2 the price of the others. AC Milan always snatches Mathieu during 1st window of 1st season so u missed your chance to steal, so Scholes won't cost much more than Mathieu. If you have the money or confident u pay ur debt at season end, then u can get the others.

Play with Barca's default formation as Rooney and Ronny are both naturally SS, so y anyone want to use them as RWF I have no idea. Play Rooney on the left instead of Ronny cuz Rooney has a sick shot. Ronny can play on the right cuz he can dribble around everybody n rack up the assists.

Giuly is great try not to sell him. He'll make an amazing deputy to Ronny on the right, and Messi can deputise for Rooney on the left.
