I bought this game yesterday with my new xbox, and i think it has mindblowing graphics and quick entertaining gameplay.

What's so bad about this...?

Absolutely agree, Don't know what the big deal is, the only complaint I have about the game is the edit mode (or lack of one) but in terms of gameplay, I think its awesome, still playing it regularly, and will be until PES2009.

It's good & its shite at the same time, mate give it about a week then u will get really fed up with it,

Completly agree with you! I got excited that PES 2009 was soming out and i tried playing a master league with Man U, the first game i played the opposition took a shot the keeper droped it and it rolled into the back of the net! arrrhhh! I have never come accross a game that can make me that angry! Back to fifa for a few weeks at least. I am praying PES 2009 is better i don't know if i could go another year.

I know, most people these days are spoilt and they all want all licensed garbage and shirts etc, in my opinion gameplay is most important.

That is why games are called games, they aren't about licensed shirts and pretty looking players. :)

The only thing that drives me nuts is the online play, otherwise i like the game, though ive settled on a full defensive online formation of 5-4-1 with everyone but Torres in my own half when i dont have possession and now i can actually win a game through all the lag Konami failed to overcome.

i liked pes2008 apart from the lag, i've played it all year round and neverput it down. i understand about what all the fuss is about, but at the same time ifeel it's not that bad. issues with the cut backs where a problem at first then i learnt to defend and that included against the messi's and other players with exaggerated stats. for me it made it fun and fraustrating at times part of the attraction i gained for the game as when i stopped these players it made my victories oh so sweet. but at the same time when i tackled them and they would just run through my team with hardly any effort it got annoying. the only option i didn't play was online ranking matches as i didn't feel they counted as a fair reflection on someone's record because of the unpredictability in games. but i liked pes 2008.

Well I did enjoy PES 2008, it had a lot less niggles than PES 6 did, you had better fine control of the ball and the graphics were so much better. I think that I really had to change the style of play I used when I got PES 2008 but I don't think that such a bad thing. Online it was just sadly hopeless but I think thats been weel documented and even Konami additted it wasn't all it should have been... but I still think its a great game though they did take some things out which I wish they had't like the PES Shop!

The goalkeepers. They dont know if they need a shite or a hair cut, its frustrating when they 'save' the ball and it rolls to the other team or when they tip a straight-forward catch over the bar.

The online is just as bad, if not worse than the 'keepers.
