To be honest if your a huge fan of PES and you bought it for PS2, i feel for you man.

Ive bought PES1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 2008 all for PS2 and this latest installment has felt like a slap round the face from Imanok*. Im fed up with everyone saying "you have to have a next gen console" or "PS2 is shit" and it now feels Imanok* have deployed a simular attitude towards the PS2 owners, with the very limited and dated "newest" PES for PS2.

Yes it may well be the future of gaming, but lots of people still only have a PS2. Either because they cannot afford a next gen console (like me) or for many other reasons.

But im not going to sell my PS2, to raise funds for a next gen console NO WAY IN HELL!.

My PS2 has had years of time from me and i have a certain amount of sentimental love for it. I have many games and accesories for it and i will not sell, just because the "developers" and the people alike "say you have to have a next gen console".

I shall always stick and stand by my beloved PS2 and continue to buy for it until the games are no longer made for it, plain and simple!

Micro$oft and $ony aint getting none of my money until i see its worth me forkin out hundreds of pounds to go and get the so called "future".
Because from where im standing, all they are after is your money. With the hard drives available now, they will keep releasing the same console with more memory every so often, to keep you wanting the newest and best console (wich means more money and satisfaction for them).

I also heard $ony will release there PS4 in 5 years time wich is absoloutely ridiculous. Im sorry, but if it carries on like this, more and more people will put down there pads each day and look for alternatives other than very expensive gaming.

PS2 ALL THE WAY, TILL I DIE!

you know its funny; last year I was on the ps2 and had pes2008 and everyone moaned about how it was nothing more than an update to PES6 (which it was) and how the "next gen" versions were the real upgrades, with fully realized teamvision and dives (meh!)

so I bought a PS3, got PES 2008 and guess what, its the same damn thing but with added new feature of: SLOWDOWN

Enough moaning, time to go play the real football sim!

Playstation3 myself, I don't mind playing it against mates can't say I'ev really touched single player mode.

I own the PC version as I had trade in my ps/2.Thought to be excellent game for next-gen engine.Lagging,resolutions problem,easy score and easy being whacked by com too.A lot of features need to be included e.g kits selections.

Hope to see pes2009 has a better improvement on areas like:-

goalie
kits
licences
game play(very important !!!)
stadium(too little)
weather
editor
master league(Should allow all E Prem teams in the 20 slots, maybe 1st div also)
balls( as many as 20 to choose , have differences physics when playing on differences pitches.)
scoreboard(use a licences one like ESPN, STARSPORT ...)
winds or sun effect , muddy or icy ground.
