Widescreen or not?

Despite having a widescreen tv I my settings to normal which hasn't bothered me so far. Anyway after a couple of games on pes6 this morning I decided to switch to widescreen to see the benefits but I've since switched it back.
I don't know if its just me but on widescreen the game seems slower, I know the screen is wider but it does seem slower. Also on the wide view its a little too far away and the next ones a little close but the worst thing I found was I suddenly started experiencing slow down which was evident with tv on normal.
Anyone else noticed this or even tried the difference?

no i have no differents mate....i do have slowdown when i am playing matches and a friend signs in to live or sends me a message....do you have this to Alf....

no mate not experienced that yet but think i'll stick with normal tv mode for now anyway.

alf i have noticed this to i have just changed mine from widescreen to normal becus it was way to slow on widescreen and made it a borin game

Its only seems slow because widescreen shows more of the pitch. Ive been playing on widescreen mode 60Hz and it seems absolutely perfect to me.

Well I have just tried changing mine to Normal screen mode and it is much smoother online than in widescreen mode. The slowdown only seems to happen when I am online in widescreen. When playing against the CPU however the slowdown does not occur in widescreen mode. Advice would be if you want to play online, set it to normal in the XBOX dashboard beforehand.
