Winning Eleven 10: PES 2010 without the bugs?

I've seen reviews and comments in forums down the years that say that Winning Eleven is always slightly better than PES. Theres a post by a Japanese guy on Pesfan.com at this link that seems to confirm that Winning Eleven 10 is better than PES 2010, though theres not much information on it:

All I know is that when PES waz called World soccer winning eleven here in the United States the game was the best!!!!my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!! once they started calling it PES it went down!!!!! BOOOOOO!!!! lameeeeee!!!!!

^No, pes 5 was pes 5 and it was the best.
As for the thread. I am not so sure because they're sup[pose to be the same.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if this was the case. It will no doubt be a newer build than the PES2010 release. Newer build = less bugs.

Well, I just returned from the US (where I had PES 2010) back home and wanted to play PES2010 so I've asked my brother and he gave me WE10 to play with and let's just put it this way I've bought WE 10 and will take it to the US with me (since I didn't find it there).

What differences I've found:
-WE10 has a superstar difficulty (after (and harder than) top player)
-When you save a formation in WE10 the lineup is also saved (unlike PES2010 where only the formation is saved).
-WE10 has slightly better goalkeepers who sometimes catch the ball.
-WE10 has better referees that will probably give you a red card if you hit someone when he's alone in front of the goalkeeper (unlike PES where sometimes he doesn't even give him a penalty).

.....well, until now that's all but enough for me to buy WE when I find some more I'll tell you then ....

Sorry for that but didn't have Internet connection for the PS3 in the US (university's wireless had no support for PS3) so I couldn't update PES 2010 and btw never updated WE10 before today (the feature was present b4 the updates), thanks for the information.

I had sold my pes2010 and change to WE2010. Below noted some differences in between both Version.
1. Shooting respond time = Slightly better

2. Passing respond time = Remain Unchanged

3. Player responsive = just slightly better

4. Ball passing Freedom = Remain Unchanged

5. Referee = Remain Unchanged

6. Goalkeeper = Slightly better ( certain improvement )

7. Com AI = not sure

8. Game speed = about 10 percent slower, which is good.

9. Graphic = Good improvement ( color, stadium, lighting, field and player likeness has been polished

10. Animations = Remain Unchanged

11. Online = No Lag but with button delay about 3 second

12. Superstar Difficulties = Is a bit more challenging if compare to top player, In superstar level, the opposition defender will cover fast and smart in the field and another thing opposition midfield will more often have long shot.


Above only my own opinion and feelings for the differences in between We2010 and pes2010.

Hopefully this might give some ideal to the pes fans in Europe.

Hey mate, what if someone in the US wanted to buy winning eleven. Are the trophies the same? Same interface? What OF would I use?

Well I got Winning Eleven 2010 a few days ago, and the difference in the gameplay between it and PES 2010 is amazing. The game certainly feels like a patched and fixed up version of PES 2010. The animations are smoother, button lag is not an issue. The gameplay is slower, a little, but definitely noticeable, and for the better, along with smoother animations and very very little button lag, if any, mean that the game plays like a dream. Now I have time to try skills and tricks, and to weigh up options.
Not that it's an easier game, totally far from it. And this is the cast iron certain difference between Winning Eleven 2010 and PES 2010. Winning Eleven has another level of difficulty above Top Player, called Super Star. For anyone who complains that PES 2010 is too easy, and that the AI doesn't attack enough (I feel that way about PES too), read on.
I always play PES on the top level of difficulty, so I went straight in to Super Star level. Wow. The difference between this level and Top Player on PES is astonishing. I played a friendly as Brazil against Argentina. Messi ripped me asunder, pulling off tricks and skills I have very rarely seen on Top Player in PES. I am now playing a La Liga season with Barca. In PES 2010 I played a full La Liga with Spanish Cup and Champions League, on Top Player, I won all 3. I also did an English Premier League with Cup and Champions League on Top Player. I won the league by 14 points plus FA Cup and Champions League. in one of the World Cups I played, I beat Spain 6-0 in the final, on Top Player. It's a different ball game on Super Star level in Winning Eleven, I'm currently in 4th place halfway through the season, with Real Madrid getting further and further away. There is no way this would happen to me in PES on Top Player! The CPU teams are much better, they play as if you are playing a really good human player is about the best I can describe it. They attack with lethal effect as well. Finally playing against good AI opposition! Losing never felt so good!
I have played 300 odd games on Top Player in PES 2010, and the same amount if not more against mates doing Champions Leagues and World Cups. I can absolutely 100% notice tweaks on the gameply compared to PES 2010. The game play is smoother, more responsive, and the gameplay speed is a little slower. It could be argued that this could be a placebo effect (it's not ) But what I am saying about the Superstar level is cast iron certain!
Winning Eleven 2010 is the best ever PES, that's how I feel about it

I have only been playing on Super Star level, which is a lot harder than PES Top Player. The CPU pass the ball around and it can be hard to dispossess them. But unlike PES, they aren't ping ponging it around, firstly because the passing and gameplay speed are slightly slower than PES. Just a little, but enough to notice, so it doesn't look like the ball is ping ponging around. Secondly, the CPU teams will look for a way to attack, so you can more easily get the ball back than if they'r just passing it around the back ad nauseum, like what happens a lot in PES. That is, unless they slice you apart with a killer through ball! Or unless they are winning and trying to wind the clock down, the AI definitely seems more intelligent in Winning Eleven, certainly on the super Star level. Having said that, I'm doing a league with Barca, I remember a match against Valladolid, and they didn't offfer much going forward, but they were down near the bottom of the league, so not every team is going to come at you. I also lost 2-0 against Malaga, who were rock bottom!

I have read here and also on PESFAN where some owners of WE 2010 are saying that the game is "slightly" better than PES2010.

My questions is...do we really want to shell out another $US70 bucks for a game that is "slightly" better? :shocking:

Being that the game play is different on every single game....how does one decide that it is "slightly" different. :blush:

I believe that both game are the same....as a matter of fact, i have owned both titles and none are different. :realmad:

These are the same fans who saw improvements from the last DLC....yes the DLC with boots and balls added. hmy:

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but PES/WE has too many flaws for anyone to purchase another copy with only "slight" changes. :erm:

I hope you know that with a game with such intensity, fast animations and the fact that each game plays differently ....it would be very very very hard to only notice " just slight better" improvements. :blush:

Further more....if passing, ball passing freedom, animations, referree and online has remained unchanged .....then

To do a valid comparison ...one would have to compare both titles side by side on the same consoles with same screens and settings. Same teams ...then realistically look for differences. If you can only find "slightly better" changes ...chances are there are none.

You stated you sold PES and picked up WE so your comparison is only based on your last memorized game experience with PES and not a side by side comparison. This is why you cannot even tell if the AI is different. You need to have the two products available at the same time to do any comparison with some integrity.

I do hope your job does not entail evaluating products.

guys igot pes2010/pes2009/we2008/we11-11(2006/2007-zidane)/we8(2005/2006..which is edited by an egyptian league patch)....the hardest one i can truely tell is we8 so any 1 know how to get a patch for it if not...just answer questions about we2010 note:all these games are ps2 version
for pc version igot:fifa2000-fifa2001-fifa2004-euro2004-pes3 and finally pes2010
