Winning the ball when it is kicked a shorter distance than your player is going

What I mean is. when a player kicks the ball and you see that the ball is going to be behind your controlled player. how do you stop him and make him come back for the ball, for x-box.

I think i know what you mean .

You could use super cancel which is holding R1 and R2 and Dpad in the direction of the ball.

With this you can make the player move about more freely
