I always owned winning eleven and also pro evolution soccer , I know that there are some small differences in gameplay but never really understood what these differences really are, is pro evolutuin (european version ) faster than winning eleven that konami realses months before in japan ? and what other differences exist ?

Witdh one is better for patching ?

What are the differences and witch one you prefer.

Well from a person living in Europe's (PAL) point of view, PES is the more polished version of the 2. As WE is renowned for having minor faults. Recent releases of it have been slightly tarnished by major slow-downs in gameplay.

WE8:LE is the latest version which was released and is, according to the majority who have played it, a far superior game compared to PES4 which is why there are more patches available for WE8:LE. All the recent PS2 versions of PES and WE have had slowdown which can be reduced by using certain environment settings. The version of the game released in Japan in Feb/March time tends to be the best until the next number up of WE comes out.

Yeah I think that PES is always the more polished version. I think of WE as the work in progress game. Like WE8:LE and WE9 are work in progress for PES5.

Generally the best PES/WE game is always the latest one.
