With the com team not developing players, where will all the great players be in 10yr

Hi,

It seems obvious that the com-team doesn't develop any players. So if you buy rooney at 22 you will get a shit-player who cannot be developed anymore.

So if you have for example adriano, ronaldo and ronaldinho up front and they start to get a little too old, you cannot buy a decent replacement cause you didn't develope any of the young "to become" world class players like fernando torres, adu, rooney etcetera.

What's the fun in that? So it seems that either you play with the youngsters from the beginning or you don't play them at all. Because if you buy them after a few seasons as a future replacement for the top players who are superb from the beginning (Nedved, Vieira, Adriano, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and so on) there isnt enough time to develop then.

So where will the new top players be after the top players are retired and you didnt develop the newcomers yourself? Nobody else is developing them for you. It then seems as if after a while there are only mediocre players (who could have been world class, but now aren't) in the game.

you develop, the old players after they have retired..

but then that will mean eventually, you would have developed such a great team, and every other team would be shit compared to you, so where is the contest?? you will have all the stars being developed, and every other team will have no one!!!!! very interesting subject!

Super 14 Champions 2006
yea.. then.. play with the undeveloped players.. set yourself goals.. make it harder for yourself.. PES3 master league got to the stage where it was too easy...eventually.. you will become 'too good' for the ML, you just ahve to live with it.. try to win a Premier League with WBA on 6*, that would be near impossible for most, or take the current Arsenal team to European Success :D

2 good challenges there :D

Nice, but that's not the point. The point is that it seems that after a while the top players are too old to be top players (even if you don't buy them, but let them play in their original team) and the "new" top players, must be developed from the beginning otherwise it's too late. Why doesn't Rooney develope at Man Utd when he playes all the time?

fair enough you could do those also. as u say set yourself goals. the only good player i have on my team is ronaldhino and i only bring him as a sub incase im losing, my super sub. BUT, in master league, i would like to know that i own the team i would love to have in real life. e.g. having ronaldo and raul up front with ronaldhino behind them. i would like to buy these players as good as they are supposed to be, and not waste time to build them up. i use my ML team always to play my friends, so i would like sometimes just to buy the players that i want instead of buying players that i know that have the potential. you know what i mean?

I know what you mean exactly. I like to play that way either. And then when the glory days of the superstars are over you would like to play with their successors. And that is just not possible, because when you were enjoying the fantastich skills of Adriano, Ronaldo and so on, the talents of the potential world class players just slipped away cause you didn't play them.

yeh thats one f**ked up thing in the game. i never actually sat down and thought about it, but now that im 3 seasons into my game, all the players like ronaldo and ronaldhino are going to go soon. sometimes i just want to buy a superstar like ronaldhino to add some flare into my game. if you have to play with those young promising players all the time, then fair enough its a challenge, but a large amount of gameplay has been taken away from it. u wont be able to dribble well, pass well, score well, heck you cant do anything. playing the way you want too is almost or is impossible. i have saved the game now at its state because i have a good team, now i am going to create another save file and conitnue on that because i wont have time to always train up players.

methical

as normal as norman bates
alot of the good players become shit real quick as well so you should buy 17 year olds at the start and not maradonna or pele either. when if u have a player that another team has like seedorf or davids they become shit and at the same rate as their other copies. the computer does train up its players to. djibrill cisse has inceased his shot acc and shot technique. i dont know if theirs anything else but the games fucked up ne way coz the teams sell their best players to quick. in my game im in 2006 and liverpool have got gullit, udinese have bought totti and zico.everton bought roy keane and man united always have scholes on the bench.and use some shit korean in his place and they never use rooney. arsenal always have taylor in goal pires on the right van persie on the left and aliadiere up front. they never use reyes whos supposed to be good.milan never use kaka.

the whole game still needs to be improved apart from its gameplay.

i bought a 17 year old called boumjohann and he starts off shit but now hes class at 19 but i have to many young playaers in my team so they dont improve quickly enough. i bought seedorf when he was brilliant but now hes a use less 30 year old. davids is 33 and shit. y does this happen.

Your wrong there my friend. I bought Heinze two seasons in to the ML. He was useless at the start of the ML, but when i bought him, his stats were amazing. The Computer teams do develop players...

Well, if that is throug, that would be good news then. But howcome I bought Rooney at 21 as a very mediocre player? Didn't he play that much? Cause at 22 he stops developing and now he's quite useless.

Are the developmentsheets at random as you start a new ML? That's not possible is it?

Because I heard many stories that Rooney and also Adriano doesnt improve anymore at the age of 22/23.. And I am sure there are more players.. The development system in ML is pretty shite another strange thing Nokami did...
Merstesacker a german defender who is 18? in the game, I bought him at the age of 21 in the ML and his stats were waaay higher then the normal default stats...
So make out your conclusion of this story :)

sorry to break this good debate but could someone explain to me what this "development" actually is, is it like in PES3 with the growth players or do the stats just randomly increase every so often,
also what do u mean by "reborn" does the players age just revert back to 17 or do they look different ect...... this is really ruining the excitment of getting it tomorrow!!!

From what i've been reading, this development thing just plain sucks and has completely f***ed up the ML

Thanks in advance :)

The players of the computer teams DO develop their players.
In my ML game, its year 2006 now and Arsenal are using fabregas as the starting midfielder and his stats are almost all coloured.

yeh that is very true. but thats just one player. who else can u think of. i thought of buying jouqin and reyes later on in the season and when i bought them and saw their stats and devlopment sheet, i thought fuck this and loaded the game again. from this ONE example, i think it is TRUE to say that the com does develop players but not as effectivly as they should be doing (for example like us humans). anyway thats a sad aspect of the game but i do enjoy training up my players such as adu and batistuta. i want ronaldo to retire now so i can train him. if i buy him now his stats will be going down and i dont want that.

The problem would be solved partially if it would be possible to look at the development sheet before you buy a player rather than to find out that you payed a lot of money for a player that has just stopped developing. Maybe it's an idea to start a topic where there is a list of players and their ages at which they stop developing. Is that an idea?

AS you play matches with a young unexiperianced player usally from the age of 16-23 but it varies for different players eg. edu is still gainin experiance at like 25 they gain exp points according to the way they played and how long they played for there is exp for each stat you can check thier development form it shows u at what age they peek this is where they are at their best and you can't develop them anymore, after their peek they start to decline and start dropin exp points. when players retire the next year they are reborn at 17 with the same looks and everything personally i don't think it makes ml suck.

Hope Thats Helped
