X-Box owners and to be X-Box owners!

Well, I am thinking to get an X-Box, so I have many questions unanswered.

1) Were is the best shop to get the console from. Not online though

2) I like the sound of Fable, and is Halo any good compared to say like Half Life?

3) I only played X-Box twice, for like 10 minutes each time, is the controller really that big? Or do I have small hands?

4) Can you play DVD's on it without the remote?

1) GAME is a good shop, they do xbox bundles at good prices
2)Never played Fable but Halo2 is gonna be huge, prob will be the best FPS ever made in my opinion
3)There is a new controller which is smaller
4)You need to buy a kit which enables you to play dvds on it, but i just use my ps2 for that

1) Best bet would be Game or Gamestation

2) Fable is awesome. pretty short for an RPG but the length of the game depends on you coz you can just become a part of the world. its basically a living breathing world, with economic changes etc. Halo is a great FPS and IMO its better than Half Life but most people agree that it is definately on par with Half Life. Halo 2 will be epic! mark my words

3) Just get yourself a Madcatz microcon controller. its only slightly bigger than the PS2 pad

4) You need the DVD kit that comes with the remote

4. You could get your XBOX modded and get EVOX on it, then you wouldn't have to buy the kit... but it'd cost more to get it modded.....

2. Fable is awesome. How much you like it and how long it takes all depends on you and how you wanna play it. Halo is great, but might aswell wait for Halo 2.

1. Pretty much any shop I suppose. But I'd say Game or Gamestation.

3. If you're on about the S controller, you've got small hands. If not, get an S controller.

1) Argos!! My cousin got the "crystal" one from there with 3 games!

2) Fable is meant to be great but ever XBOX owner has to get HALO2 as it is online!!!!

3) The new Controller S is great, comfortable, small. Also the original one wasn't that big either!

4) Nope you need a remote, but the quailty is far better then the PS2 one(I have both)

You just pay your normal Broadband bill, i'm predicting you already have Broadband.
If so, you only pay the £30 for Xbox Live, which covers a 1 year subscription, after 1 year you will pay another £30 to keep your Xbox Live afloat .

I'm tempted to buy an Xbox, but I would rather wait and buy an Xbox2 in '06. But then I'd have to wait an extra year because I wouldn't be able to get the PS3 in '05.

Hopefully, I registered online though. Wasn't patient enough to wait for the dodgy demo, which i've heard is free at some places.
