Has anyone managed to transfer an old Xbox Live account to their Xbox 360 yet? What's the easiest way to go about it?

From what I've read, it involves creating an account on the official Xbox website, they've got new profile settings made especially for the X360. After you've done that your old gamertag is reserved, and presumably you'd just register it using the X360 dashboard.

You work at Game, right? What's the story on the supply of X360s? I was reading that there's been a royal fook up on Microsoft's part and the stock that games shops have are ridiculously low.

Any chance getting one before Xmas without a pre-order?

It depends on the size of your Game store, and generally how lucky you are. Go to your nearest game store and ask if they have any left and if not see if you can pre order one from the next batch, I have no idea when that will be but at least you'll be in the queue.

Heard the one in the Arndale Centre had a few in stock today, were only selling them to loyalty card holders who bought an X360 game too.

I don't have a members card unforch, and couldn't get off work... I'm not too fussed about waiting until after Christmas though.

I worked in the Solihull one, I'm starting back there in a couple of days though. I obviously can't work there during my university semesters.
