If you're bothered, and for what good it will do, here is the e-mail I just sent to http://uk.games.konami-europe.com/support.do. Needed to let out my frustration somewhere about why this wonderfull online game is so badly messed up every year, so I did it with words.
"Is there going to be a fix for the poor quality of PES2009 online (which is a fantastic game offline) for XBox Live? For the third year running the online gameplay is sluggish and lagging. Players do not respond, defenders are uncontrollable, setting up a match is a nightmare etc. It feels like a completely different game. PES2008 was improved to just about a playable standard last year after fixes, but this years version seems to play even worse online. I've also played games of PES2009 on PS3 Network, and things are much the same there, and been in contact with loads of people who all say exactly the same thing. I could do without the reply I got last year about the online problems with PES2008, such as 'check your network settings' and 'maybe you live too far from the exchange'. My other games such as Race Driver, Project Gotham, GTA4 etc. run brilliantly straight out of the box online, and i hate to say, Fifa always runs so smoothly online, so why all the constant online problems every year with the best game ever PES? Are the games even tested online before release and if so, who gives them the go ahead? Really could do with some answers as I'm sick of spending £200 on my xbox, £40 a year on PES mainly to play online, and £40 on XBox Live mainly for PES. It was probably in hearing of today's error of releasing the November PS3 update early by mistake that has tipped me over the edge in wanting to send this. I look forward to a reply, but as ever, am not optimistic. Thanks."
