Your most eventful Master League

Does anyone have any good stories of eventful MLs? like an exciting title run-in or nail biting relegation battle?

My most eventful was my 4th season in ML in this years pro evo with Celtic FC. The previous season i won the champions league so i was competing in every competition. Manchester utd are by far my main rivals and they have Messi and Aguero among other good players :huh: Manchester city, arsenal and liverpool have also strengthened heavily. Man utd had only been beaten 3 times all season (twice against myself) and drawn only a couple of times. I was 3 points behind and had to win my last 10 games (with trips to man city arsenal and bitter rivals rangers) man utds only game i had hope of them dropping points in was liverpool away 2nd last game when i was playing rangers away. i won 8 on the trot and arrived at rangers away, i got a man sent off for an unintentional off the ball slide and went 1 down with the resulting free kick, i then battled to a 2-1 win in the dying minutes (always good as a celtic supporter against rangers) my joy was complete when i checked 'other match results' and man utd had been beaten 1-0 by liverpool and i was top by 3 goals and went onto win the league on the last day. This completed an unbeaten season in all competitions and i unlocked the achievement as a result. Incredibly myself and man utd finished on 98 points each.

Impressive, what level were you playing on? Hats off it was Top Player.

Yeah top player mate, thing is theres maybe 4 or 5 players who iv bought for the last 3-5 years and i know wot to expect with them. Vincent Kompany is someone iv bought for years and play him DM, best player in that position IMO doesnt lose a header and hes a hard tackler. I play my MLs with my mate btw which i find easier but definetly more enjoyable. We couldnt believe how that year panned out lol.

I think one from this years was good, battling it out with my default ML team in Div 2 I was 4th, 2 points behind Leeds in 3rd place and played them in the penultimate game of the season. QPR and Reading were already promoted by a good 7+ points and going to Leeds away knowing a loss was not an option, a draw would keep me in it but as their last game was at home against Millwall who were about 5th from bottom, I needed to win this one.

I was 2-0 down at half time, but wasn't overly concerned as I had battered them but was unable to put the ball in the onion bag, they had scored a freekick and a
lucky rebound goal from a flapping Ivarov.

The 2nd half I got some luck, (I was due some) Shimizu's shot from just outside the box hit the post rebounded into open play off the keeper's back and in, somehow the goal was given to the little Korean but I wasn't complaining 2-1...game on with only 5 mins of the 2nd half played.

Moments later Schwarz was cut down in the box, Ref points to the spot, Jaric steps up, hit's his shot low and hard into the corner 2-2.

After that it was fairly scrappy, bad passing by both teams with chances few and far between but on the 70th minute I got a FK 25 yards out. Shimizu curl's a blinder past the keeper to put me in the lead for the 1st time, after that Leeds are all over me like flies on shit, but I see out the remaining 20mins of attacking pressure to win the game 3-2.

I drew the last game against Ipswich at home 0-0 but seeing the players celebrate after that match, I knew Leeds had failed to beat Millwall. I still don't know if Leeds drew or got beat in their final game of the season..never checked, and TBH couldn't give a shit either.

Full seasons I never really remember as a whole, but key games I do, and that game against Leeds is one of the best I have ever had.

Very impressive season mate, well done. I've yet to finish my master league season (with Blackpool). Only at the middle of January, joint top with Chelsea at the moment, finding it tough this year, as the stamina levels drop so low if you don't have a large squad. I made the mistake of releasing a lot of players, and suffering as a result. :crymore:
