Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit issue

After months of trying to patch this game using Deckz Patch, I have come to a stop and give up as this is not working for me. I recon this is a problem with the way the PES2008 installation files are stored on the Vist 64bit version of windows.

It still sits as a "thingmejig" to solve.

Although it doesnt end there! I am enjoying this patch to the fullist on PES2008 on my Windows XP Harddrive.

Dude,ur the bst in this business.. i've had ur all BPL kits for awhile now and it is awesome.. cant wait to have this one in my acquisition.. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARDWORK, DUDE!! I wish i culd do the things that u've done..

Try the link i sent you before, they cover on how to relink the kits...it may seem confusing at first though.
Be sure to check some of the other posts aswell, I know theres about 20 pages but i remember seeing some useful info there.

Does these problems ocour if the game is not patched?

I really can't understand why some players have just the name or number only.
It would be easier to figure out if every player have the recurrung problems, but the fact that it only haappens to a certain amount of players is beyond my understandin...I'm sorry.

I could only recommend you to visit the PC Troubleshooting Thread...

or...

use Kit-Server as this easier than installing patches.
Kit-Server can be found at GamingAccess.

thanks deckz what a brilliant patch. Installing it was easy and i like the way you showed how too install it for those who are not so pc savy! Ive been playing your patch for two months now without problems and it makes the game so much better getting promoted from the coca cola to the premiership. There is a lot of shit patches out there but your is the best I have come across much kudos to you sir long live pes fuck fifa why bother???????????

great patch deckz! however, i cant seem to apply the edit file, the option files is fine for me, but the edit file, my pes2008 cant recognize it even after i drag the file, it says the loadable file cant be found and when i try to save, "insufficient storage" any idea why is that?

Amazing patch you have here!! Any chance of any upadate since Anelka is now with Chelsea.

By the way, how do we select the team strips. Sometimes there are a clash of colors. Eg. Cardiff vs Newcastle (both are dark colors), England vs Germany (both are white strips). I am not sure whether I have installed the Kitserver correctly. Will the Kitserver solve this issue?

Hi mate...try these solutions previously posted by stuntmaster, but this is the first time i have seen the error message of "insufficent storage" so please come back if it doesn't work:

"basically you install pes as admin, then if ANOTHER user plays pes, not admin. then ownership of the game transfers over. then when the game is run as admin it won't load the option file as its inside another users directory and programs arn't allowed to look there. (obviously)

in bbbb's case it this seems it. the only solution is to play the game as that other user, or manually load both the option file and the edit file within the game.

hope this helps.

i belive theres a pc patch 1.20 that fixes this, but it wouldnt install for me saying error thats it.

basically that is the problem, for best results install pes under one user only and only use the game as that user. i cleaned the lot and made a seperate user account called pes, and only use it for playing pes and patching pes thats it.

again hope it helps."

I don't know if i'll be able to have an upadted option file anytime soon as I really don't have alot of time on my hands.


About Kitserver, yes, you can solve the kit selection problem, you just have to put the extraced folder (simply named "kitserver") into the the PES2008 Directory (Program Files/KONAMI/Pro Evolution Soccer 2008).

The next thing you would have to do is arrange the kits so that it corresponds to this patch, but I have never used the previous KitServers before as this is my first PES on PC. And again, because of time issues, I have yet to figure out how to do it properly.

3.Now find your cv_0.img file in your PES2008 directory, once you have found and attempted to load it, it may ask if you would like to rebuild the file, click yes and save it with a different name (eg. cv_0a.img), or save it in another safe location


It then comes up " File has not been identified as AFS. Would you like to load it anyway?"

"Yes or NO"
No closes application
Yes results in "Failed reading AFS File Descriptors! Try rebuilding the AFS to fix it" "OK"
Select OK results in "Coherence error : Overlapped file(s) found in descriptors!
AFS file is corrupted!
Do you want to to load it, anyway?"
Yes or No
Yes results in " To fix this file :
1) Enable "Ignore descriptors length" option to load this file
2)UPDATE or rbuild
3)DISABLE "Igonre descriptors length" and load the AFS again

Refer to the documentation for further information


So what am I doing wrong?
The tutorial doesnt cover this at all :(

The images are listed in the opposite order so view the last image first and the first image last.

After installing the patch from the instructions given in the Pic_tutorial, there is a final step to be made:

Open the downloaded patch folder, and from 'Option Files' Folder, drag the files 'PES2008_EDIT01.bin' and 'PES2008_OPTION01.bin' into 'My Documents\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2008\save', and you're done.

When will something like this be available for the ps3?
At the moment all the ps3 options files i can find are nowhere near as good as this.

I don't own a PS3, so i don't really have any idea how PES2008 (or any other PS3 game) patches are made.
All I know is that patching on PS3 is "currently" very limited.
