NOTE: I am back from an amazing holiday in Thailand. Thanks to the 2 people who donated, I enjoyed a beer on you on the beach. I've updated the file with transfers up until the transfer deadline on 01/09/09, with every player not in-game arriving in the English league being created. I've also updated all English league kits. I'm beginning a new job and potentially moving house next week, so my updates will be less frequent than they were previously. It's not long until PES 2010 is realised now, so I'm not sure if it's worth doing any more major updates. Hope you all continue to enjoy this option file and all of the hard work that has gone into making it. The season is over, but PES isn't. I've begun updating this Option File for the 09-10 season, with new kits, transfers, and teams.

This is a complete option file, compatible with the 1.4 PC version of PES. It does not require any other software such as Kitserver to work, simply copy the files into your save folder and away you go (make backups of your files first)

Note on England kit update
If you decide the new England kit is not for you and you want to return to the previous 1.3 version, follow these instructions:

1) download this
cv0f.img

2) unzip it and place it in the folder...

For Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2009\download

For Windows Vista: C:\ProgramData\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2009\download

[If you do not see this folder, in your normal folder window, go to 'Tools', 'Folder Options...', 'View', and under 'Hidden files and folders' select 'Show hidden files and folders'
You should now see it

File is now updated to include today's transfers (just click the link in the first post)

If you downloaded the previous version, then you only need to copy PES2009_EDIT01.bin into your save folder (all the other files are the same)

Stats database is closed until 1st Feb, so stats for these created players are my own... have a look, i think they are fair. i will try and update these to the "pure" ones after the window closes

OK, I know (I am the day by day visitor of the Database :D). I have made some gameplay changes, so, if you want to, you can try it for your option file (just say and I will send you major attributy changes (like Agility -50 etc) ;) ).

cheers, but i think i'll leave the game as it is. Konami's stats aren't perfect, but i think most people prefer to download an option file with stats unchanged... the only ones in this update that aren't Konami's are the created players

Mate, me and my friend are having a problem with this patch.
When the Pro Evo logo comes, "Press any key to start"
It gives out an LOAD error saying.
The current edit file is made for a newer version and tells us to update.
Help please. :)

did you do the official konami update a couple of months ago? this option file is for version 1.2. it's easy to update (you can do it within the game itself)

+ all England League set-piece takers/captains correct

+ Sankhare removed from PSG
+ Babic removed from Betis
+ Koenders to NEC (from AZ)

+ Derbyshire to Olympiakos (from Blackburn)

+ Spent a long time perfecting West Ham's new home and away kits. Away kit now has the two lines across the chest:

hey Sammy,

did u create Tosic for man utd cuz he's already in the game as Z.Tosic in the Serbia National squad?

Also missing from man utd are:
Rodrigo Possebon
Darron Gibson
Ben Amos
Richard Eckersley

They have all already featured for man utd at senior levels this season. Please kindly acknowledge this. Thanks for ur efforts and keep it up pal.
