I have 1 reason to believe that in the long run PES will be the better game, even eurogamer will have to admit this.
Pes 2010 focuses on player individuality and we all know how bad fifa is at that.
At first fifa seems too awesome (like eurogamer said, BOTH GREAT, BUT FIFA IS SLIGHTLY BETTER), then it becomes borign as usual.
Ofcourse it's my assumption.

Its made out to be a bigger deal than it really is.

FIFA announced it and all their little fanboys and pes haters jumped on the wagon. 'These' people act like they have played FIFA10 and tested out the '360 dribble' so they come on here and talk about how great it is.

When you tell them that we still dont know how this '360' will function well or not then they will start to point out how THIS GUYS SAID ITS GOOD and THAT GUY SAID ITS GOOD...but when IGN says they are considering switching from FIFA to PES this year again, none of them bring it up.

All I can tell you is that you should wait till next week and judge for youself.

1) Yeh, considering. If a 70% build has them considering than I m sure the 100% will have them converted ( but idk, neither game is out )

2) I did mention that...he implied that as of now, hes LEANING towards FIFA. He didnt come out and say 'Yeah, I played both games and FIFA is better'.

FIFA do lack the player individuality, and from what we've seen so far, then PES will be head and shoulders above FIFA this year on that part. For that reason alone PES might just be the favoured game this year for all the fans who wants and simulation'ish game...

Might be, Im not as anti pes as people think, I just gotta call it how i see it, I think PES will deffo be an improvement, maybe 360 movement is in this year (would be shocking considering the playtest details) but I have to throw in my 2 cents and say that if pes 2010 genuinely plays a better game of football than fifa 10, i'll be shocked.

Im not saying that out of hate for pes, im saying that knowing the tons of little changes and refinements that have been made this year, seeing the gameplay for the new code and seeing some of the feedback from the lastest playtest from Fifa Soccer Blog (who are wenb) and eurogamer (who say fifa is better at the mo) the feedback is very positive. (See fifa 10 thread in other gaming)

They should both be good game offering different things, I expect pes to have long term depth in gameplay and fifa to be very realistic. I think pes 2010 might appease the pes fans who stuck with pes 2009 last year, but im not sure it will get the hardcore pes gamers who crossed over to fifa 09 last year to come back on side.

My opinion.

Feel free to put your point across, but there really is no need to flame other members in the process. It's annoying for me because I completely agree with you most of the time.

No probs, i deserve a booking, but he constantly reverts to insults 1st, so he deserves one as well, check his posts, theres only so much i can take, everyone else in this thread has been civil with differing opinions.

I just wanna be on the same rules as everyone else and not get booked because im not towing the konami line.

Tech skill, your opinion is good aswell however, I still think that pes 2010 will be better than what you're expecting it to be. My dream is that we have a great pes and fifa. Both of these will fill up my year of football games unlike in 2009.

tech is a funny guy and i like him although you do get angry too quickly

Hopefully they are both good and if online is working fine on pes and you're using psn ids or xbox gamertags like they said they will then it is already better than 09

Wether pes has 360 or not, im actually looking forward to playing it and seeing what the deal is, my only worry is finding the time to play it properly.

Bascially, I plan to get it on release day (maybe even before) and do some inital thoughts on a thread in this forum, I know people will be interested to read that lol.

Had to throw this in guys, fifa 10 doesnt have 360 movement when sprinting, some fifa fans are not fucking pleased at all. Had to kinda throw this in there seeing that amount of critisim thrown at pes2009 for having or not having 360, its kind of important people who discuss 360 movement know this.

I'll post the details when i know, but im guessing its still 16 way when sprinting as before, which isnt going to ruin the game imo, but like i said, its something that you guys need to know for comparision purposes.

To be honest, i share the initial view that when running at high speed the need to turn in a circle is obviously limited, but maybe it would have been nice in terms of dribbling though those extra gaps.

^^Then thats not really 360 movement but I wouldnt be that worried if I was a Fifa fan because you cant do/ really hard to do, 360 movement while sprinting with the ball.

Also, what i was saying about 360 movement not making a huge visual impact has been confirmed, the playtesters are saying difference is when to play with it, they say you it makes 8 directions horribly outdated.

That enough of that, had to throw the above in so people knew what the deal was with the other game.

I wouldnt mind just 16 directions its still an improvement.

Just free movement is what we need for pes and fifa alike this whole im pes only and pes is the best is nonsense you have to appreciate the fact the are both competitive football games and its down to you guys to decide which one you prefer.... I kno that i have slagged off fifa 09 but thats the situations i feel, it doesnt stop me playing the game from time to time as i do enjoy the game when its not being flawed.....

the main problem I had with fifa was the fact you felt you had to go a certain way like you were being funneled by a sheep dog herded towards somthing no sense of freedom..thus with pes the main problem i had was the shooting as i loved the player likeness and the shape of players tricks etc....

no that Tech has mentioned no 360 while running is very good news indeed because while running at full pace very few players are in complete control of the ball it would stop the sudden sharp response you get in fifa 09 where players will change directions sharply like cheetah's or something....with many players like Messi, ronaldo, torres, tevez etc you see them dribble or weave in and out at slow-medium pace then suddenly burst into sprint where they just knock the ball....for me thats realistic...

I hope konami sit up and take note and start thinking outside of the box the game is only 2ish months away not even that now so it should be in final build area's and i hope they have encoperated a massive thought to everything that going on in the pitch not just the player in control of the ball....

We just want complete control over all aspects of football....nothing scripted
