- pes peaked in 2005 in pes 5 for the ps2
- pes 2010 main flaws:
players are not responsive
AI is stupid
game is not challenging
cannot swith sides
it is just not fun

fifa has many flaws. but unlike konami, EA is trying their best and they have improved a lot in the last couple of years.

fifa is playable and fun. i don't know if the game has the last appeal of earliers pes games. probably not. but it will do it for the time being.

i've been faithful and a believer of pes. but all i want is to have fun playing a football game. and pes doesn't deliver that anymore for me while the competition does its best to please.

never thought i would say that, but this year i will play fifa.

tbh, i m bored and sick of PES already too. Yes, there have been a lot of improvements, and its much better than last few series, but is those tiny little things that got me sick of it - the ref issue, switching sides via crosses, and most importantly, i feel like not able to do what i desired to do. I dont even have that passion to force myself to put the PES disc into my PS3, which was bought mainly because of PES, anymore. Its the first time, for almost 10years, that i really dont feel like i have to play PES everyday. i'd rather play some old games, but just not PES atm.
However, i really cannot see myself to be playing FIFA. I really really do hope things would improve.

There are problems with PES this year, but I'm still nowhere near switching. And even if I was, I wouldn't start a fucking thread about it, I'd just post it in an existing one, not that anyone gives a shit anyway!

in this year, fifa is better than pes, but on PC pes is better than fifa, i only want play a football-game like in real, hope that day will come soonly

Funny how I said before that I was nowhere near switching because now I am. Just played a couple of games and I'm absolutely fucking raging. Seriously guys, when you look through all the glossy, asthetic nice stuff that 2010 offers then on the pitch, where PES has made it's name, it's fucking poor. The AI, both for and against you is terrible, the referees are incomprehensibly bad, the goalies fucking suck donkey cocks, and for me the gameplay is nowhere near as good as last year.
Last year it was really starting to feel right. Like a few minor tweaks and it would be spot on. This just feels like a big fucking leap backwards. I'm really tempted to trade it in now. I'm fucking pissed off.

dude the gameplay is way better than 09, its actually pass and move instead of dribble 40 yards and score. However the ai is awful, i dont really care about the computer ai as much as i do the ai on our team. They cant defend worth a shit, they literally just stand there and create gaps for the other team.

That is the only way the ai scores, its annoying to concede goals that arent your fault..

I agree about the AI. It's awful. But the goalkeepers aren't that bad. Actually they're normal. In real life football no goaler is superman (except for Buffon ;))

Have to agree in part with this sentiment, I keep going back to it but its just often an hour or so of complete frustration online as most of what seems to go appears to be out of control or plagued by button delay. Offline - boring AI. Really disappointed , wont be back next year.

Exactamundo on the pass and move - I'm loving this version because you have to think about the game so much more....

Fifa is a pick up and play game, but PES is so much more....

You can't just get on and play PES2010, you have no choice but to play with the tactics, sliders and cards......Use them and your problems with the AI on your own team can be sorted, or at least made better....

I have to say I don't have any complaints with the AI (I only play online) and have sorted out my tactics etc so I can hold my own against the Real Madrid's and Barca with my favourite team Tenerife :w00t I have to rely on the AI to help me out, especially defensively.


I got no problem with people switching over to Fifa, good luck to them. But I just wanted to say I LURVE this game....

well i got fifa 10 , great gameplay but i traded it in , the look of it put me off compared to pes. BUT gameplay and AI on pes ...........


its been said . i hope konami are listening carefully , somebody has to march to theri quaters in japan and TELL THEM ... I DONT think THEY ALL UNDERSTAND ENGLISH.
