^ So let me get it straight. You're not saying it's harder playing on professional? You're only saying that it's more fun because your team is not totally lost without you on the pitch? - So when you play, isn't it too easy to dribble etc. on pro level?
The biggest difference between the two difficulty levels is that on professional there is more movement up & down the pitch by
both teams. Games are more open & direct and more chances are created. During an entire season of top player I didn't see a single game with more than 3 goals. I had a couple of 2-1s and I was beaten 3-0 by Lyon, but that was it.
On TP, 80% of the game is taken up by the AI of both teams passing the ball sideways or backwards in midfield. Your team is scared to attack because the AI is better than them, and the AI can't attack because your team is entrenched in their own half because they're so bad at attacking! Playing on P evens out the AI, which makes your team more capable of attacking, which in turn leaves more space for the opposition to exploit.
To put it simply, P makes you feel like a small cog in a big machine, whereas TP makes you feel like a big cog in a small machine. If you don't perform on TP, the team doesn't perform. Personally, I don't like this. I want to be a legend, yes, but I don't want the entire team to revolve around me. I like the fact that I can give one of my team mates the ball and he can beat two men, play a one-two and score from 25 yards.
Does this make the game too easy? I don't think so (at least, not yet). The opposing AI is still very good, it's just that your team mates are no longer afraid of them. A perfect situation would be to have both teams playing with TP AI, but unfortunately that isn't possible, so P vs P seems like the best compromise. Perhaps the game will become too easy as my stats improve, but if that starts to happen I'll just move to a worse club.
I like scoring goals & winning but I also like conceding goals & losing. It makes the game feel more real. I don't like it when neither team looks capable of scoring, which is what usually happens when I play this year's BAL on TP. In my first season we had 18 draws in the league, the majority of which were 0-0. I can't really enjoy such an unrealistic situation.
