I am playing as a CF with Real. They are playing with 2 cf's. 1 on the right and 1 on the left. In the first 3 games where you will be substituted, I played as a CF on the left side and now since I am starting the match, I am a CF on the right side.:shocking: This glitch of right side is the most annoying and frustrating glitch ever created.:realmad:

actually the stats now are much more gay compared to pes 09 which was much more challenging. Iam 25 now with an overall rating of 99 which i think its quite gay. Iam a side midfielder and even my defense is 92. lol

Just begun my career at Groningen. Scored in the scout match - then played about 6-7 training matches to finally make the bench. Now having played 2 games i've been selected man of the match in one of them playing 45 minutes.

Think it's much easier than in pes09 even though your teammates' AI seems to be even more stupid.

^What difficulty? Because I am on professional and my teamates are better and the game is much harder than 09.

Yeah I agree, I'm up in the 90's as a measly 20 year old.

Your stats improve just a little too much, as opposed to the 09 version where the match points gave shit-all.

I'm on top player and they are pretty bad. I dont think they have ever managed to cross the ball into the box without either running into another player or running out of play.

Its rare they managed to string 2 passes together in the opposition half either, they always get robbed or give it away.

Its no wonder I havnt managed to score yet.

Maybe it works better on Pro level.

^I don't know, but as I said, they play really good. BTW I am with Real Madrid and although sometimes they play really good football, I think that Arsenal were better in teamwork.

Think it seems easier on top player than in pes09. Apparently i can dribble as 17 years old (but in ml on top player it's almost impossible to dribble with okay players)

- Off topic: Anyone know if it's possible to achieve special abilities?

^I achieved Reaction as an ability. But I do not know how I did it. ;)
And also BAL is pretty hard this year and whenever get the ball the defenders run faster than you and will catch you and when I try to dribble the defender takes the ball. So it's hard on my ps3.
With Real madrid, I am currently the assist leader of La liga scoring against Barcelona aswell.
3 more goals and I'll also reach Villa for the top scorer.

Its starting to pick up second season. My player is good enough that he doesnt just fall over all the time. Got a few goals, assists, MOM and I'm getting picked every game.

Glad I stuck with it because I was close to giving up towards the end of my first season.

My debut goal was a 35-38 yard screamer. I was hoping for that long distance trophy but realised it was 35 meters I needed. WTF. is that the half way line?

Just started 2nd season. Decided to stay with Groningen (since only herenveen and other dutch shite clubs wanted to sign me) Think it's pretty cool, that you don't just get negitiations from all the big teams after playing one okay season..
At least i didn't.

^ Me too, but we finished higher than them in the league so turned them down :) Know they're considered a "big" club normally. PSV and Feyenoord applied halfway through the first season, but i felt like i would have a bigger chance at Groningen.

^Yeah, in the 1st season it's really hard. I also stayed with Groningen for half of the 2nd season and then went with Ajax.

I've been lurking this forum for a while but I had to register to thank the person who suggested playing BAL on Professional instead of Top Player because of the AI imbalance.

It's like a completely different game! All the annoying scripting strings are absent and your team is actually capable of creating chances without you. Games flow from end to end and both teams have a realistic amount of shots. If you're subbed you can expect your team to hold their own, and if you come on a sub you needn't expect to be 1-0 down every time.

As a PES veteran I never thought I'd find myself playing on anything but the highest difficulty level, but after a Top Player league season with Grenoble which involved fewer than 40 goals in total (we scored 19), I couldn't take it any more. I wouldn't have minded if we were getting thrashed 3-0 or 4-1 all the time, but we weren't. It was just 0-0, 1-0 or 0-1 virtually every single game, with each side typically having 2-3 shots on goal. It was neither fun nor realistic.

In PES 2009 I thoroughly enjoyed my five years at Fiorentina on Top Player as a CMF, but with PES 2010 I think there's too much emphasis on (fast) human players making things happen. Most of the time your team mates seem to scared to do anything, so they either pass backwards, run the ball out of play or stumble straight into an opposing player. This gets very frustrating very quickly.

I can appreciate that the idea is that you're a legend, so you're supposed to lead the team, but it's got to the stage where the handicaps in favour of the AI are so numerous & obvious that the game suffers for it (similar to PES 5's single player if anyone remembers that). I think the reason is because the new Top Player AI was designed with the Master League in mind (where it works superbly; PES 2009 was far too easy), while BAL was just an afterthought (as you can tell by the fact that the menus haven't changed at all).

I know some people suggest playing longer games on Top Player in order to make up for the lack of action, but outside the occasional important match there's no way I'd be prepared to dedicate 30+ minutes to each game.

So yeah... I'm currently playing for Bordeaux in my second season as an AMF named Óscar (I wanted someone with a commentary name). As I'm competing with Gourcuff and Cantona I tend to get played out of position quite often, but at least I'm past the bib-wearing stage. Oh and Zidane went to Birmingham City on my game.

^ So let me get it straight. You're not saying it's harder playing on professional? You're only saying that it's more fun because your team is not totally lost without you on the pitch? - So when you play, isn't it too easy to dribble etc. on pro level?

The biggest difference between the two difficulty levels is that on professional there is more movement up & down the pitch by both teams. Games are more open & direct and more chances are created. During an entire season of top player I didn't see a single game with more than 3 goals. I had a couple of 2-1s and I was beaten 3-0 by Lyon, but that was it.

On TP, 80% of the game is taken up by the AI of both teams passing the ball sideways or backwards in midfield. Your team is scared to attack because the AI is better than them, and the AI can't attack because your team is entrenched in their own half because they're so bad at attacking! Playing on P evens out the AI, which makes your team more capable of attacking, which in turn leaves more space for the opposition to exploit.

To put it simply, P makes you feel like a small cog in a big machine, whereas TP makes you feel like a big cog in a small machine. If you don't perform on TP, the team doesn't perform. Personally, I don't like this. I want to be a legend, yes, but I don't want the entire team to revolve around me. I like the fact that I can give one of my team mates the ball and he can beat two men, play a one-two and score from 25 yards.

Does this make the game too easy? I don't think so (at least, not yet). The opposing AI is still very good, it's just that your team mates are no longer afraid of them. A perfect situation would be to have both teams playing with TP AI, but unfortunately that isn't possible, so P vs P seems like the best compromise. Perhaps the game will become too easy as my stats improve, but if that starts to happen I'll just move to a worse club.

I like scoring goals & winning but I also like conceding goals & losing. It makes the game feel more real. I don't like it when neither team looks capable of scoring, which is what usually happens when I play this year's BAL on TP. In my first season we had 18 draws in the league, the majority of which were 0-0. I can't really enjoy such an unrealistic situation.

^ And thank you for the reply. Might be the most detailed one i've seen so far. :)Cheers

- Didn't know we made the Europa League. Sweet, in my 2 season. First group match we face Club Brugge. We get 1-0 down then we get a free kick - The ball ends in my head and goes in. Later Nordstrand makes the winning goal with a smashing left foot shot. The two danes saved the day..

- A thing that annoys me in BAL is that when i press L1 and X he runs a marathon. There's no stopping him, even the super cancel doesn't seem to stop him :(
